2 A new name On 1 March 2011 Country Energy s retail business transferred to Origin Energy, and we commenced operations as a network services business under a new name - Essential Energy Customer notification commenced 1 March, using print advertising and local media Retail customers are receiving individual notification via mail over the next two months Limited television advertising will support the brand change in coming months Under a Transitional Services Agreement which formed part of the retail sale Essential Energy continues to deliver retail services to more than 800,000 customers on behalf of Origin Energy

3 As Essential Energy We are still a NSW Government-owned corporation responsible for building, operating and maintaining Australia s largest electricity network continue to provide water services in Far West NSW under a new name Essential Water offer energy efficiency advice and management solutions through our energyanswers team on 1800 ENERGY

4 Transitional Services Agreement Transitional Services Agreement (TSA) commenced from 1 March for a period of up to 43 months Includes eleven schedules for the delivery of various services to be provided by Essential Energy employees on behalf of Origin Each schedule is identified as being required for a specific period majority up to 43 months

5 TSA - customer interaction Under the TSA retail customers who transferred to Origin as part of the sale will see no immediate changes to the retail energy services that they received from Country Energy continue to contact Country Energy in the same way by phoning the general enquiries line, continue to pay their bills in the usual way online, by telephone or in person at an Essential Energy Customer Service Centre customer support services such as hardship support, credit and retail complaints will continue to be provided As the Country Energy brand was also included in the sale, many customer interfaces will be co-branded with Origin Energy and Country Energy eg: Electricity bills,

6 Network Services From 1 March customers should contact Essential Energy for all electricity network enquiries, and Essential Water enquiries, including: - Network faults and emergencies - Supply interruptions and planned outages - New connections - Solar Bonus Scheme issues - Essential Water billing and supply enquiries - Network billing enquiries - Streetlighting - Vegetation management - Meter enquiries - Energy efficiency advice - Contestable electrical work - Network infrastructure enquiries relating to their home or business
