1 Brief Description: ITU Forum on Smart Sustainable Cities Abu Dhabi-UAE, 3-4 May 2015 DRAFT AGENDA This forum is being organized as part of the implementation of the Regional Initiative on the "Use of telecommunications/icts for smart and sustainable development and protection of the environment". The forum aims to build awareness on how information and communication technologies can be leveraged in efficient implementation of Smart Sustainable Cities and the roles of various stakeholders can play in this domain. Among various issues of Smart Sustainable Development, the forum will discuss the following: Plans, policies and strategies for Smart Sustainable Development; Use of Telecoms/ICTs for Smart Sustainable Cities (SSC); Smart sustainable cities (SSC) Policy & Regulatory Issues; Smart sustainable cities (SSC) ICT infrastructure; Roadmap for Smart Sustainable Development and SSC.
