2 10YFP: Introduction The 10 YFP is a global framework of action to enhance international cooperation to accelerate the shift towards SCP patterns in both developed and developing countries. It does so by Supporting capacity building and providing technical and financial assistance to developing countries that are willing to implement this shift.

10 Updates on the working group activities (2/4) Informative Webinar Series SPP and the Circular Economy by UNEP and Rijkswaterstaat (3 February 2016) [recording] 2A, Monitoring SPP Implementation Final report on the monitoring of SPP implementation, inclusive of 8 country case studies (Japan, Thailand, India, Estonia, Switzerland, Ottawa, U.S. federal government, South Australia) was just released in February 2016 and made publicly available in the SCP Clearinghouse website. Second phase of the working group is under preparation 2B, Measuring & Communicating Benefits of SPP Expert workshop on Measuring impacts and communicating benefits created by SPP, was held in Seoul, South Korea, November 2015 Final report inclusive of the baseline analysis on measuring and communicating the benefits of SPP and guidance framework for the measurement of impacts was released in December 2015 and made publicly available in the SCP Clearinghouse website E-Library section. Second phase of the working group is under preparation

11 Updates on the working group activities (3/4) 2C, Promoting best practices on SPP GPN Malaysia drafted 5 case studies showcasing successful examples in the field of GPP and the use of ecolabelling in the Asia-Pacific region. The cases focus on green printing in China, stationery and fire extinguishers in Japan, green paints in Korea and green ink in Thailand. Their review is ongoing. 3A, Product-Service Systems A Technical Report on the Use of Product-Service Systems to enhance Sustainable Public Procurement was released in May 2015 and is available in the SCP Clearinghouse website E-Library section. A training module on circular procurement targeted at public procurers, inclusive of case studies on PSS was drafted. More work is needed to clarify key concepts and how they relate to each other (SPP, PSS, resource-efficient business models). We would like to share the draft with MAC members to get their inputs. A training module on PSS will be developed in 2016 as per the agreement between UNEP-US EPA. A call will be launched to select the implementing partner. Second phase of the working group is under preparation.

12 Updates on the working group activities (4/4) 3C, Including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in SPP Working group has been launched and is currently building up its membership. 4B2, SPP through ecolabels and standards New working group leader on-boarded by ISEAL Alliance. Second phase of the working group has been launched and is jointly managed with the Consumer Information Programme of the 10YFP.

19 SDGs indicator framework IAEG formed in June 2015 Inter-Agency and Expert Group under the authority of the UN Statistical Commission A report, including an annex with a list of indicators, was submitted as official document for the 47th Session of the UN Statistics Division. Mid-February 2016: an addendum presenting the full list of global SDG indicators has been made available to the UN Statistical Commission March 2016: The Statistical Commission has reviewed the proposal and has submitted it to ECOSOC and GA for adoption /
