This is to ensure the ʻsight unseenʼ status of this paper is maintained for your centre and other schools/colleges during the diet of prelim examinations in 2006/2007. 2 Standard Grade Computing Studies - Foundation Level Marking Instructions KU - Knowledge and understanding PS - Problem solving Structure of paper on paper The layout of this paper is modelled on the format of previous Foundation level papers produced by SQA. There are six questions in total. The sixth question is selected by the centre from either Commercial Data Processing or Automated according to which topic has been taught in preparation for the estimate examination. The questions draw on the following areas: Question 1: Question 2: Question 3: Question 4: Question 5: Question 6: General Purpose General Purpose Computer General Purpose General Purpose Commercial Data Processing OR Question 6: Industrial Applications The paper is marked out of 36 for KU and 36 for PS. 3 1 This question deals with content from General Purpose The results of a recent figure skating competition are stored in a spreadsheet. Part of the spreadsheet is shown below.
