2 All new applications written entirely with Microsoft.NET technology. We also incorporated many state-of-the-art third party controls that added many advanced features. With the release of the Microsoft Access Version 8, both database versions now share the majority of features, while the Access version still enjoys the easiest networking setup.

3 Microsoft Access Version Uses the majority of your existing information and upgrades from Version 4 thru Version 7. Unused database fields and tables have been removed and the Work Orders now have their own database for more overall data capacity. SQL Server Express Edition Uses SQL Server 2012 Express database engine which are known to be more reliable than the previous versions and their Microsoft Access databases. Databases can be 5 times as large (10GB), and we split the work orders in to their own database thereby providing even more storage.

4 The Lookup grids can double as report creation tools when you can use custom filters to return specific data, add and remove data columns, group by columns, and print the grids. Plus the grids can be exported to Excel, Word, PDF, and more from the Preview screen. New Lookup grids where the user can group by columns of their choice. Filter and sort data from within any column. Add and remove data columns, customized the column layouts and save these layouts to be reused the next time opened and more.

5 Added a Location field that work orders can be grouped and reported by. Contains new Task Types, most of which are user definable (including Contractors types). Now assign as many Assets or equipment records to a single work order as you would like, doing away with the one equipment per work order limitation. Now supports unlimited Work Orders instructions documents per work order. * SQL Express Editions only. Now supports Rich Text documents for Work Instructions in place of plain text.* Added additional Work Order status indicators. Instruction Groups for easier lookup. Added charts to many of the reports. Requester s phone number. Manager s assignment New on-screen status chart on open requests, open work orders and past due. New batch actions for printing, closing and more. More customization of printed work orders. Track work order completion progress. More descriptive status indicators. Work Orders Planner now shows work order completion indicators. And more

6 Now supports Rich Text Format documents for Work Instructions in place of plain text. This gives many formatting options, bullet styles and more. This should dress up your documents quite nicely. The Repair Procedures Editor is used to create and modify various work order related documents and instructions. One of the key advantages of using this editor as compared to our other editor is that you can build a database of repair related procedures, and reuse them for easy insertion. These Rich Text documents are only available for the SQL Express Edition as they require more data storage than plain text. The Repair Procedures Editor however has been upgraded in the Access version too. You just don t have the extensive formatting options.

7 New search routines installed throughout Many additional graphical themes added. Office 2007, 2010, 2013, Christmas, summertime, and many others. Many new Export options available per report and other documents (Excel, PDF, DOC, DOCX, XML and image formats). Many of the older features have been redesigned to give them a more modern look and feel, and in a lot of cases made even easier.

8 Inventory Module New Report and Filter Wizard. Unlimited User Defined Fields. New Location assignment for use with multiple warehouses. Assets New Sub-Assemblies Database. Keep track of equipment subassemblies such as motors, pumps, in feed conveyors, compressors, or anything you want to assign. Fields are customizable per subassembly.* New ability to link an unlimited amount of assets together. Also useful for parent/sub-assembly relationships. Unlimited User Defined Fields. New Purchasing and disposition information tracking. Purchasing and Receiving New Purchase Documents customization. Control colors, grid lines, orientation and more. New Filter wizard. Now add an unlimited amount of attachments to documents. New unlimited price comparisons on purchase items. New budget category based on document cost centers. Create and edit Mailing envelopes. Added charts to some of the reports * SQL Express Editions only.

9 Personal Manager Personal Contacts for private use. Replaced the Personal Log with the more robust Personal Documents. Added more filter options to Personal Work Orders and Purchase documents sections. Print Purchase document summary. Contacts, Vendors and Contractors Unlimited Alternative Contacts Unlimited Linked Contacts New Contact Rating Information Unlimited User Defined Fields.

10 Human Resources Management (Employees) New Benefits tracking. Pensions, 401-K, Credit Union, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, and more. New Dependents tracking information. Extended Payroll information. Extended Security Information. Unlimited User Defined fields. Now includes both individual and HR common use documents. New Comprehensive Employee report, where you can actually create multiple mini reports on a variety of items. Added a couple more Calendar Activities reports. Tools Database Added Location and Classification fields. Added unlimited user defined fields where both the field contents and description are definable per tool record. Perform multiple tool inspections at once (batch). Issues Tracking New issues creation wizard. Track reporting contact information.

11 Reports and Graphics All new graphics/charts designer. New Chart types, new wizard, new export options, and more. Spreadsheet Reports now supports new formatting options and new export options. Introduced an all new Report Designer that we picked up from a third party. This designer has features galore to help build all kinds of ad-hoc reports based on a word processor type format. New Properties Database module. Maintain General Property Information. View assigned assets and print work orders. Maintain an inventory database associated with the location. Group by rooms or classifications. Unlimited User Defined Fields Maintain a Tree documents database. Items belonging to the tree view can store information relating to linked documents, insurance carriers, and whatever information the user wants to maintain. View and edit a rich text notes document on each property.

12 Procedures and Solutions Database Uses the more powerful word processor control for internal type documents. New Viewer where users can view but not edit documents. Use a new Document Tree where document can be assigned to various levels within the tree. Forms and Permits Designer Added many formatting and page layout options. Created two new forms: Employee Data and Expense Log. Project Planner Add a Days Project view where you can view, print and edit Resources and Date assignments on the main screen. Added many new anchors. Now shows percent completion indicators with in the main time line bar. Now supports changing the date range of the project without having to start over. Allows moving tasks around.

13 Safety Management New Incident Creation Wizard that steps through the creation process. Now add an unlimited amount of attachments to incidents. Enhanced workers compensation tracking. Enhanced safety tasks lists that now supports RTF type documents. IMPORTANT NOTE: There have been numerous enhancements made to the Maintenance Coordinator System as we rewrote the entire system. Try it out. If you liked the old system, you should really love this one. Database Upgrade Notes SQL Express Databases are not directly compatible with our older versions and their Access Databases. We did however create an import utility that will port the majority, but not all the data to the newer version. Every effort on our part was made to import all the information that we could. With the Microsoft Access Database version we redesigned much of the databases to provide more meaningful names to tables and fields. In some rare cases some of the information again could not be fully ported to the new version. However, be insured that all the most vital information will still be there in both new releases.
