14 Calc Scripts- XREF / XWRITE Allows Data sharing within the App between BSO cubes i.e. from Workforce to Summary P&L Some Mapping Translations capabilities Requires specific coding in the scripts Not necessary to have Common Dimensionality between source/target XREF- executes in the target to pull from the defined source XWRITE- executes from the source to push to the target Better performance than XREF since the Push runs from the source and can better filter where data exists 14

15 Calc Scripts- Data Export Allows for Data to be exported to a file based on the filtered view No Mapping Translations capabilities Options available to define formatting Files are saved to the cloud repository folder Allows for PBC Variables to be used in export processes 15

16 FDMEE Provides full integration functionality that is not available with Data Management Custom Scripting, Calc Script execution, integration to non-cloud ERP and EPM sources Requires on-premise installation of EPM Requires separate license from PBCS Allows for detailed data to remain on-premise, locally and to only push summarized data into cloud applications 16

27 Other Integration Considerations Financial Reports can also be used to extract data Typically, best suited for published reporting but can be used created customized data extracts Smart View Operates directly with Excel, Word, and Powerpoint Allows for data to queries and input with: Ad Hoc Grids, HS Functions, Planning Forms 27

28 Review Data Management Best Method when mapping translations are needed Capable of handling many different file formats Useful for direct integration with other Cloud EPM/ERP sources Native PBC Import/Export Functionality Best used in ad hoc processes, not automation due to the restrictions of the formats Calculation Scripts Good option for exporting data to files and has some options not available in DM Can only be used with BSO s FDMEE Enhanced Data Management integration functionality, but at a cost 28
