10 Country NTD Database: Key Features-II Country Ownership The national NTD database will be owned and managed by the national NTD programs National NTD program managers, M&E specialists, and/or data managers at the central level of NTD-endemic countries Customizable for use by NTD program staff at the district level, or by NGOs and other partners A Database on NTDs for National Programs to use for: Entering, compiling, storing, extracting and analyzing information and data on NTDs Consolidate functionalities from systems used by WHO (AFRO, APOC, HQ) and NTD Partners and Initiatives 10

11 Country NTD Database: Key Features - III Data Manipulation The National NTD Database Template will have the following features (among others): Microsoft Access 2007 platform, with potential to transition to a webbased, multi-user platform User-friendly interface for data entry and reporting Default and customizable reports Ability to import and export data (such as into the WHO Joint Reporting Form) Archive historical data Multiple languages (English, French, Portuguese) Interface effectively and share data with WHO 11
