Remain in contact with ITS to ensure that no changes have been made to the production machine that need to be replicated in the test setup. Systems have been set up and discussion of schema has progressed. 12/19/03 Cost Find an off-the-shelf graphing algorithm package that meets ITS graphing requirements and adapt that into the GRM System. Present information to ITS in regards to how the off-the-shelf product will aid in the development of the GRM System. R-Chart software purchased. Issue resolved. Page 1 of 5

2 12/19/03 Scope of the Project versus Time Allowed Prepare a project plan with a well-defined project schedule. Ensure that team remains on schedule at all times. Create a detailed SRS to avoid creeping requirements. 02/12/04 Schedule Overrun Create updated project plan and schedule when deviations occur. Determine if the scope of the project is going to be affected and define ways to fix the schedule slippage. 02/12/04 Member Availability Determine if availability is becoming an issue that will hurt the schedule or the scope. Be sure that this issue does not become a problem. 03/01/04 Design Tradeoffs Discuss and compare/contrast different design viewpoints to discover optimal solution. Decide on and continue design with tradeoff chosen. Scope still within reason. No changes. Watch closely and be mindful of end-ofquarter. Scope will likely not change. Source code delivery should not be expected before deployment time. Customer feedback can now be received. No team member is unavailable in such a way that the project schedule or scope is being hurt. 3 03/14/04 Technology Concerns Discover different technologies that are applicable to the proposed solution. For this project, Remote Method Invocation, Remote Procedure Calls, and Web Services were all considered as possible solutions. 03/20/04 Contact with Customer Support Staff Need to remain in contact via and/or phone to discuss the solution and its deployability.
