Whatisneededtoruntheseactivities? Theseactivitiesaredesignedtoruninthesoftwareapplication:MindExpressbyJabbla.You willneedtoownacopyofeitherthefullversionofmindexpress,ortheplayerversion.the fileswillalsoworkinthe60daytrialversionofmindexpress.withthefullversion,youwillbe abletomakecustomizationstophotos,songsandvideos.theplayerversionwillonlyplay previouslycreatedfiles.installmindexpress(full,playerordemo)firstandtheninstallthese activities. Onceanindividualisabletolocateandactivateasingleswitchinmultiplelocationsformultiple functions,theyarereadytomoveontotwoswitcheswithdifferentfunctions.atthislevel,the childisintroducedtodiscriminationandproblemsolving.eachswitchhasadifferentfunction, andactivatingeitherswitchprovidesspecificfeedbackrelatedtotheactivity.priortothislevel, thecontrolthatthechildcantakeistoactivatetheswitchornot.nowtheindividualhasthe optiontoexploreeachswitchaccordingtotheirownintent. Manyindividualsareabletoexploretheseactivitiesmostlyindependently,whichbuilds confidenceandsupportsactivelearning.theymayalsobeusedsociallywithapeer,witheach individualactivatingasingleswitchatthesteppingstonelevel2. HideandFindActivities Theseactivitiesarecontrolledviatwoswitchesthat areassociatedwiththetwosidesofthescreen. Whenthepictureisonthesamesideofthescreenastheactivated switch,ittravelsacrossthescreen,accompaniedbymusic,andhidesbehindaboxorother object.bothswitchescontinuetowork.onthesidewherethepictureishiding,activationwill againsenditacrossthescreen.theotherswitchprovidesfeedbacksuchas:notthere,nope, whoops,unah,etc. ThepicturesmaybecustomizedwiththefullversionofMindExpress. 7 Move,Move,Get TheseactivitiesaredesignedtoreflectSteppingStone4:Move,Move,Get.Usetheseactivities oncetheindividualhaslearnedthatdifferentswitchescanhavedifferentfunctionsandheor shehashadsomeindependentpracticewithtwoswitchesfortwodifferentfunctionsina varietyofactivities.intheseactivities,oneswitchbecomesthemoverandonebecomesthe selector. Eachoftheseactivitiesworkwithswitch1movingsomethingincrementallyacrossthescreen witheachactivationoftheswitch.duringthistime,onlyswitch1works.oncetheitemhas movedallthewaytothepictureontherightofthescreen,thenswitch1stopsworkingand switch2willnowstarttheanimation.thishelpstheindividualmakeaclearconnectionforthe purposeofeachswitchandpreparesthemforlearningtwoswitchstepscanning. You should now be able to play mp4 files in Mind Express 4. Phone videos: Please note that some videos taken in portrait format on a phone, may need to be rotated / converted in another editing software to be able to display in the correct orientation. One free media player that will work for this is MPC-HC.
