1 How to Make Videos and Export View Sequences Create view sequences in Volume Render Create view sequences with models Create view sequences in Volume Render Step 1: Open up image scan in Invivo5 software. Go to Volume Render Tab. Step 2: Select the View Sequence tool and replace View in the upper left field with desired name of first view. Adjust volume to desired view: rotate, pan, zoom, clip, or change view type. The view sequences do not save sculpting, thus any volume which is sculpted away will remain visible during playback. 1/10

2 Step 3: Click Insert to save the current volume to the first view. A new line will appear under the list of views. Step 4: To add additional views. Adjust volume again to desired view: rotate, pan, zoom, clip, or change view type. Modify the name of the view in the upper left (optional). Then click Insert to save additional view. 2/10

3 Step 5: To modify previous views, click on the line corresponding to the desired view. The volume will change to that view. Make adjustments as necessary, then click Modify to save the changes to that view. Step 6: To play view sequence: Click Start, adjust the frames per view (Frm/Vw) to a desired number, and click Play/Pause. 3/10

4 Step 7: To save view sequence, click Save. The program will save the file as a *.vseq file. To avoid confusion, save the file with the same name as the current DICOM (DCM) or Invivo (INV) file. Step 8: To save a view sequence video, click VIDEO Capture. Modify settings as needed and click Capture. The program will save the file as an *.avi file. For better quality, select the Xvid MPEG-4 Codec (if installed). 4/10

5 Step 9: To display view sequence on Table, tap the View Sequencer icon then tap Load VSEQ File. Select the corresponding vseq file and click Play/Pause to run the View Sequence Player. Adjust the frames per view (Frm/Vw) as necessary. In order for the video to display properly, the file used to create the vseq file must be the same as the file open on the Table. 5/10

6 Create view sequences with models Step 1: Create model in MD Studio (refer to How to Use Medical Design Studio). Step 2: Go to Model tab. Enable the model by checking the box next to the model name in the upper left box. On the left panel under Simulation, click Edit. A new window will appear which will allow the user to edit or add a simulation. Click OK. Step 3: Move the scroll bar on the bottom of the left panel to the right. This allows modification of the model in its final position and orientation in the simulation. Then, click on the model in the viewing window. A set of axes will appear on the model. 6/10

7 Step 4: To move the location of the model, click and drag the axes. To move the location of the rotational axis, hold down ctrl, click, and drag the axes. The model can be rotated by clicking and dragging the rings around each axis. Step 5: To view the simulation. Click Start under Simulation in the left panel, then click Play. Step 6: To create view sequence, select the View Sequence tool. Repeat steps as listed above to add or modify views. 7/10

8 Step 7: The scroll bar under Simulation may be dragged to move the model to various intermediate points in the simulation. These views can be captured as part of the view sequence. Step 8: The model may be turned on or off by clicking the box next to the model name in the left panel. Additionally, the appearance of the model may be modified by double clicking the model name in the upper left panel. The Visual Property window can also be reached by clicking the model name once, then clicking Settings. 8/10

9 Step 9: See steps listed above for exporting view sequences and videos. As noted above, ensure that the file used to create the view sequence is the same as the file open on the Table. 9/10
