Chapter 1 : attachments appear as viewable pagâ - Apple Community Outlook makes this easy and allows you to resize the image file as it's sent. Some companies and services still have small attachment limits. So, resizing images can avoid having your message bounced back to you. It's also an easy way of resizing images for yourself. Insert and resize pictures in the body of an message Insert a picture To insert a picture in the body of your message, place your cursor in the body of the message, select the Insert menu, and then choose Pictures from the Illustrations group on the Ribbon. If the picture looks too big or too small, you can use the sizing handles on the picture to resize the image. Resize a picture You can change the visible size of the picture; for example, how much of the screen it takes up, without changing the file size or resolution of the picture. Click or press and hold one of handles, then drag the sizing handle toward the center to reduce the size of the image or away from the center to increase the size of the image. There are additional sizing handles in the center of each side of the picture. Using the handles in the center of each side will distort the picture. Resize a picture to exact dimensions Select the picture you want to resize. On the Format tab, in the Size group, enter the required height. The width changes automatically to stay in proportion to the height. If you want to change the height and width separately, clear the Lock aspect ratio check box before you change the required height or width in step 2. Compress pictures to reduce file size Compressing a picture maintains the height and width of the picture, but reduces the resolution. Lower resolution pictures have a smaller file size. Select the picture or pictures you need to reduce. Depending on your screen resolution, you may only see the Compress Pictures icon. Select the compression and resolution options and then select OK. Compressing a picture to reduce the size of the file changes the amount of detail retained in the source picture. This means that after compression, the picture can look different than before it was compressed. Instead, an icon of the picture will appear under the message subject. If the picture attachment is too large, you can tell Outlook to resize the picture for you when you send the message. Some recipients may not receive this message because of image attachments. Resizing large images may help the message get delivered. Resized images will be a maximum of x pixels. Select Resize large images when I send this message. Select the left arrow at the top left corner of the screen to return to your message. Compose your message, and when you select Send, all picture attachments will be automatically resized. Attach and reduce the size of non-picture attachments Documents, spreadsheets, PDF files, and other types of files can vary greatly in size. There are several methods you can use to keep the size of your messages and attachments small when sending these files. For more information specific to reducing picture files, see the section Insert and resize pictures in the body of an message. Send a link to the file In your message, select Attach File from the ribbon. This attaches a shortcut to the file to your message, not the file itself. Recipients can open the shortcut and download or open the file. Copy a sharing link from another cloud storage service Most cloud storage solutions such as Dropbox or Google Drive allow you to get a shareable link to your file. See their help files for more information on how to obtain a sharing link. Once you have a sharing link, paste it in the body of your message. Compress your files before sending Most files can be compressed into a zip file to reduce their size. Windows allows you to create and open zip files without any additional software. Navigate to the folder that contains the file you want to send. To select multiple files, press and hold CTRL as you click each file. This creates a new zip file that contains the file or files you selected in step 2. The name of the zip file is chosen automatically from the name of the original file. What would you like to do? Resize a picture You can change the visible size of the picture, e. Documents, spreadsheets, PDF files, and other types of files can vary greatly in size. Copy a sharing link from a cloud storage service Most cloud storage solutions such as OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, Dropbox or Google Drive allow you to get a shareable link to your file. Your original picture will not be modified. Only the copy of the picture being sent will be reduced in size. Create a new message in Outlook. On the Insert tab, in the Include group, click Attach File. You can also drag and drop a picture from Windows Explorer. The picture file will be attached to the message. In the Attachment Options pane, under Picture options, in the Select picture size drop-down list, click the size of the Page 1

picture you want to include. If you embed the picture in the body of the message by using the Picture command in the Illustrations group, the automatic picture resize feature is not available. When you are finished composing your message, click Send. Open Windows Explorer by clicking Start, and then double-clicking Computer. Navigate to the folder that contains the pictures you want to send. Right-click a selected file, point to Send To, and then click Mail Recipient. The Send Pictures via dialog box appears. Click Make all my pictures smaller, and then click OK. To specify the exact size to make the picture, click Show more options, and then click the size you want. A new Outlook message window appears with the attached picture. Enter the recipient information in the To, Cc, and Bcc boxes. If you want, change the subject information in the Subject box. If you want, change or enter any information you want to include in the message body. Review best practices for size management when sending pictures and attachments The following is a list of best practices to use when sending pictures and attachments: If you must send larger attachments, verify the maximum size of the message that you can send. Your mail server administrator or the organization providing your service can tell you this. Likewise, ask the recipient what their maximum limit is. Downloading a large attachment on a mobile internet connection can take a long time. The largest graphics file formats are those that are not saved in a compressed file format, such as. Remember that the size of the message will increase by approximately one-third while in transit on the internet. Use a lower resolution setting on your camera when taking a digital photo. Use compressed file formats such as. In a graphics program, crop photographs to the essential content. Many attachment file formats can be reduced with the use of a compression utility. The amount of reduction will be minimal with some file formats that are already saved in a compressed format. For example, a Notepad. This increases the size of your Outlook Data File. Because of this, you should compress the picture before applying an artistic effect. Page 2

Chapter 4 : How to Fix Mail Not Showing Attachments in Mac OS Sierra Outlook Web App Attachment window Too Small?? Hi have a user here using OWA and when she tries to send an and click the attachment icon to send an attachment, a teeny weeny window pops up (the Browse button is way over to the right out of view). While sharing an entire Excel file is often preferable, sometimes you may wish to only share or export the graph or chart. Here are several ways to export an Excel chart as an image. For the purposes of this article, we are using Microsoft Office, the most recent version for Windows as of the date of publication. Note, however, that the steps described here generally apply to older versions of the productivity suite as well. Export Excel Charts Directly Into Other Office Applications Many users looking to grab an Excel chart or graph out of a spreadsheet file simply want to use the image in another Microsoft Office application. Examples include embedding it in a quarterly report Word document, or displaying it as a slide in a PowerPoint presentation. To copy a chart image from Excel to another Office application, right-click on the edge of the chart in the Excel spreadsheet file and choose Copy. Selecting the chart from the edge ensures that you grab the entire chart; clicking inside the chart may inadvertently select only certain elements of the chart. Place your cursor in the desired location and go to the Home tab. Click the triangle under Paste and choose the option on the far right, which will paste the chart as a picture. This will insert the chart as an image file, preserving the design and look of the chart exactly as it was in Excel. The image will be pasted in its actual size, which may be too big or small for your document. In that case, you can move and resize it in the same way that other image files are manipulated within Office. To get started, start by copying the chart in the Excel document as explained above. With the chart copied, launch Paint and create a new blank document. Then press Control-V to paste the chart image. Alternatively, you can press the Paste button in the ribbon interface. If your chart image is larger than the default canvas size in Paint, the canvas will automatically expand to exactly fit the dimensions of the chart when pasted. With your image file created, you can now distribute it to colleagues, embed it in other documents or applications, or just file it away for archival purposes. Export All Excel Charts by Saving the Workbook as a Web Page If you have multiple charts in an Excel document, you may not wish to replicate the steps above for each and every one. A fast way to export all of the charts in an Excel workbook as images is to save a copy of the workbook as a Web Page, as in doing so, Excel will create and export image files for you. Press Save to finish the process, ignoring any messages about compatibility. Now navigate to where you saved the Web Page archive. Depending on the size of your original chart in the Excel workbook, there may be two copies of each chart, one at full resolution and another at a smaller resolution for use in the website layout. Once all of your chart images are exported, feel free to delete the Web Page archive. Page 5

Chapter 5 : Mail attachments (pics) too small? - Apple Community If the picture looks too big (or too small), you can use the sizing handles on the picture to resize the image. Resize a picture. You can change the visible size of the picture; for example, how much of the screen it takes up, without changing the file size or resolution of the picture. Currently, Excel files can only be edited in the desktop version of the application. When you edit a linked file, your changes are made on a single copy of the file that all recipients have access to. You can tell if a file has been sent as a link or as an attachment by the icon. The icon for a linked file has a small cloud in one corner. Edit a linked Office file in the preview pane Select Edit and reply at the top of the preview pane. That will switch you to edit mode in the preview pane, and create a new message already addressed using Reply All. When you send your message, it will include a link to the file. Make the changes you want. If you select while editing in the preview pane, the reply along with a link to the file will be saved in the Drafts folder in your mailbox. You can return to it at any time to finish your edits and send your message. Edit an attached Office file in the preview pane Select Edit a copy at the top of the preview pane. That will create a copy of the file, and attach it to a new message already addressed using Reply All. The edited copy will be renamed by adding your name to the end of the file name. Your changes will be automatically saved as you work. If you select, the reply along with the edited attachment will be saved in the Drafts folder in your mailbox. Download and edit an attached file Select More, then select Download. If you save the file, note where you saved it to. By default, the file is saved to your Windows Downloads folder. Find and open the downloaded file, and then make your changes. Save your changes and close the file. All the content of the. What else do I need to know? Some attachments might be removed or blocked by antivirus software used by your organization or by the organization of the recipients of your . If you have a question about support for attachments, contact your helpdesk. Attachments are a common method for spreading computer viruses. Long file names of attachments might be shortened in Outlook Web App. Attachment and message size limits for your mailbox are set by your organization and might be different from the default limits. 7 Chapter 6 : How to Export Excel Charts as Image Files - TekRevue This is a big problem. I like to view from a distance and I cannot seem to find a way to enlarge the type so I can read it. As it is, I have to get the screen to within a " to read it because it appears to be about 6 to 8 pt size (as I recall from my IE settings and as in my Lotus Word Pro settings. Twitter Advertisement Though many live mostly paperless lives, there are still occasions when you need to print something out. Fortunately, wirelessly printing photos and documents straight from your iphone or ipad is as easy as sending a text message. You can print from many first and third-party apps; just find the Print option located under the Share button. The process is similar for most apps. This opens the printer options on your iphone or ipad. Here, you need to choose your printer assuming you have more than one on your network. You can also set the number of copies you want to make, or which pages you want to print. You can do this using the Open In feature, also found under the Share button. To print a single image, follow the same instructions as above. You can also print a whole batch of images in one go. To do this, open your Collections and tap Select in the top-right corner. Tap them again to deselect them. Finally, tap the Share button in the top-left corner, select the Print icon, and proceed from there. The next best option is to see if your printer has its own dedicated app. Most printer manufacturers including Epson, HP, and Canon offer apps designed to work with their own hardware on the same network. Epson iprint, for example, can print multiple photos from your photo library, documents from your Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive accounts, and documents shared to it via the Open In feature. It also has a built-in web browser for downloading and printing web pages. It supports cloud services like Dropbox, plus Facebook Photos. You can set up and activate printing locations from within the app, and select your documents or photos to be sent to the printer location. Not only can you connect to printers on the same network, but you can also print over the internet How to Print Remotely to Your Home Printer How to Print Remotely to Your Home Printer What if you could print documents on your home printer from anywhere as long as you had an active internet connection? You can even print wirelessly to older, non-wireless printers. Sadly, the service only has limited support on ios. Free storage space, Google Lens, and a suite of helpful tools might just make you switch over to Google Photos for your iphone media management. Read More, Chrome, Gmail, and othersâ then you can use it. Classic non-google Cloud printers that connect to the internet through a laptop, Mac, or PC can be set up and registered with Google Cloud Print via the Chrome web browser. You need to sign in to your chosen Google app to use Cloud Print. The print option appears in different places depending on the app. PrintDirect PrintDirect is free to download and test, but you need to unlock the full functionality through an in-app purchase. It works as a kind of companion to AirPrint in that it detects printers connected to the same Wi-Fi network. However, it should also work with printers that are non AirPrint-compatible. This sends the file to the app, where you can adjust the print settings first. You can also print to PDF. To test out Printer Pro, download Printer Pro Lite to check that it adequately supports your printer. From the lite version, you can print sample documents included in the app. Open the app to set up your printer by following the on-screen instructions. Again, you print files using the Open In option in your file editor or other app. To print from Safari, just change the URL header from http to phttp. This will quickly open the page in Printer Pro, where you can print it. With a printer that supports AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, or its own app, you can create a hard copy of your essential documents in just a few minutes. Page 7

Chapter 7 : How to Print From Your iphone or ipad: A Simple Guide If your cropped image is enlarged, you've entered too large of a physical size and/or too high of a resolution for the number of pixels your image contains. Undo and try again. Tips on sending attachments The following are important points to consider when sending any attachment through . It is common courtesy to send only one to five attachments in a single . If you have more than five pictures, we suggest you post them online and send a link to that site, or compress all the files into one file. If the file you want to send is larger than 25 MB, we suggest you post it using one of the services mentioned above because most Internet services have that as their limit. For more information, check out our page on how to send big attachments. Consider using an image editor to reduce the size of images. Images often take up a considerable amount space. Not only does this cause longer download times, but it reduces the number of images you can send. You may attach multiple pictures at the same time by holding down the Ctrl key, and then clicking each file individually. You can drag-and-drop attachments into the body of an message.
