2 Step 1 Set Your Password If you have already created a password, you may skip this step. Otherwise, your login is the address that ONKÖL support set up for you. Go to the ONKÖL User Portal. Click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link. Enter your address and click " Submit" When you receive your confirmation , click the "here" link to set your password. Follow the instructions on the website. If you do not receive an within 5 minutes, check your junk folder. To ensure receipt of future s from ONKÖL, add "info@onkol.net" to your safe senders list as described by your client documentation support.onkol.net/ Page 2 of 7

3 Step 2 Login and Accept EULA Login with your address and password at ONKÖL Website. Click "Sign In" Upon first login, you will be taken to the ONKÖL EULA page. At the bottom of the text, make sure "I agree" is checked to accept the terms of the EULA. Click "Submit" at bottom of the page support.onkol.net/ Page 3 of 7

4 Step 3 Plug Unit In and Activate Plug in ONKÖL unit. The top ONKÖL button will light indicating power. Initial boot time is typically less than 4 minutes and no more than 8 minutes, depending on strength of cell signal. Within a few minutes minutes, the front LED should begin Flashing Yellow. ONKÖL should provide audio feedback of status, eventually ending with "This unit needs to be activated. Use the 6-digit code and contact support to activate this unit". At this point, the Front LED should be Solid Yellow. If you haven't already done so, go to the ONKÖL Configuration Website. Click on "Add New ONKÖL Unit" button. On the Unit screen, enter a friendly Device Name (this will be used in notifications and messages), and the 6-character ONKÖL ID which can be found on the bottom of the unit, as well as on an ID Card included in the package. Click on the "Activate" button. Within a few seconds, you should hear "ONKÖL activation is complete. Visit the support website to configure your system. ONKÖL is ready." 5 Step 4 Optional: Connect to WiFi To connect ONKÖL to your WiFi network in addition to cellular, click on the ONKÖL Units tile, then click on the "Settings" button for the ONKÖL unit you wish to configure. On the Edit ONKÖL Unit page, click on "Add WiFi Network". On the Create Wifi Network page, select the following: Security: Can be either Open, WEP or WPA (which includes WPA2). Priority: If you have multiple WiFi networks added, ONKÖL will attempt to connect to each one in order, starting with 0. SSID: The name of the WiFi network. Password: The alphanumeric password of the network, if WEP or WPA was chosen under Security. Be sure to click "Save" when finished. 6 Step 5 Pair Your First Peripheral Using Quick Start Click on the ONKÖL Units tile, then click on the " Settings" button for the ONKÖL unit you wish to configure. Click on the orange "Quick Start" button. Quick Start will take you through a guided process of pairing a peripheral, creating a Reminder, and creating a Notification. When you are in Quick Start, there will always be two or more navigation buttons in the lower left screen, allowing you to Exit Quick Start, Skip that particular step, or move on to the Next step. Because the pairing procedure can change depending on the peripheral, you should first visit the support page for that particular peripheral to familiarize yourself with the pairing process, before using Quick Start. 7 Step 6 Potential Issues If the unit starts up, but fails to activate, it will: State "This unit needs to be activated by the ONKÖL network. Go to to register." Show a flashing yellow LED. The first step is to simply wait for a few more minutes. Sometimes it takes a minute or so for the server and the unit to sync up. Wait no more than 5 minutes. If that fails, use a pen to press the red reset button on the back of the unit. The button is located just to the left of the power cord. This will perform a soft reset and restart the boot sequence.
