2 Using wintegrate FUNCTION KEYS ********************* FIELD FUNCTION KEYS *************** Element Move the cursor forward to the next element. F1 Forward Shift F1 Element Back Move the cursor back to the prior element. F2 Window Forward To advance forward to the next window group. Shift F2 Window Back To move back to a prior screen group. F5 Field Forward Move the cursor forward to the next field. Shift F5 Field Back Move the cursor back to a prior field. F6 Field Jump Can transfer to another field location when you specify a specific number ******************* PROCESS ING FUNCTION KEYS ****************** F7 CANCEL Cancel changes made to the current record, Redisplays the current screen, and prompts you for a new RECORD ID. F8 FINISH/END To save changes made to the record and returns you to a previous screen Shift F8 EXIT To exit the screen. UPDATE Updates the current record. Redisplays current screen, and prompts you for a new RECORD ID. ********************** HELP FUNCTION KEYS *********************** F10 F9 F10 F10 Field Help Field Field Help Help When you press this key once a short message will display. If you hit the ENTER key, additional detailed information will be provided. When you press this key twice a long message will display F10 Process Help Will display a general overview of the current process. Press CANCEL to return to the screen / RETURN to continue. Shift F1 1 DETAIL When a field has an asterisk (*) press this key to view the screen(s) containing additional information. 2
3 GETTING STARTED From your desktop, double click on the wintegrate icon. see the following: SunOS 5.8 You will then be asked to login. You will Login: Password: : ST Type ST at the colon prompt. You will then be asked to enter in your colleague password. Type in your password and then hit the Enter key. The following menu displays. Keep in mind that the menu screens vary from person to person. This depends on the type of access one may have. Type XREG to access Registrar Information. A second window will appear. To Logout of colleague: At the menu type LO (logout). You can type LO at any menu or at the colon (:) prompt. Once you see [Connection closed from host], you will go to the Menu bar and: Click on File Click on Exit Click OK on the exit confirmation window. You have now properly logged out of Colleague. 3
4 There are two new screens for faculty to enter their office hours. From the XREG, type XFOH (Kean Faculty Office Hours). This is the first new screen How to lookup a faculty record. At the system prompt: Faculty Lookup: Enter one of the following: 7 Digit Faculty ID, Social Security, Last name and First name Examples: Doe, John (Full Name lookup) Doe, Joh (Partial Name Lookup) Press Enter /02/03 09:11 KEAN FACULTY OFFICE HOURS XFOH Doe, John H. Example of General Comments: Please call for an appointment. NOTE: The way you enter any comments is how the student will view them on Kean WISE. Field 3 = Enter the following information: o Start Date (First day of the semester) o End Date (Last day of the semester) o Bldg. (The location the office is located. Use the campus building abbreviations. Example J = Hutchinson) o Room. (Enter the room that you will have office hours in.) o Start Time o End Time (NOTE: The Start or End times of your office hours can not be the same times that your classes start or end on. This will result in a time conflict.) o Days of the week (Enter the day abbreviations: M=Monday, T= Tuesday, W=Wednesday, Th = Thursday, F=Friday, S=Saturday, Su=Sunday) You may only use one day for each set of hours. If you have the same office hours on Monday & Tuesday you must enter a separate entry. o Freq. Enter W = weekly (This will create weekly office hours based on the information entered.) REPEAT THESE STEPS FOR EACH DAY OFFICE HOURS ARE HELD Field 4 = Once all the information is entered enter Y es to build the office hours. Field 5 = Detail on this field after you complete the first 4 fields as indicated. When you detail you will be on the XPCA (PERSON CALENDAR SUMMARY) screen. 4
5 After we finish entering information on the XFOH screen and answer Yes on field 4, the system will build up the office hour calendar based on the information on field 3. The system will make sure that there is not class conflict. If one is found, enter No to override and return to field 3 to make the necessary changes. We can view the detailed office hours calendar by detailing on field 5 in XFOH to XPCA. (The second new screen) /02/03 09:09 PERSON CALENDAR SUMMARY XPCA 09/04/03 to 12/20/03 Doe, John H. You can see some examples above. You can directly access the XPCA screen at a later date and add comments through out the semester. Once you have entered any comments or not, make sure to save all your information on this screen and the XFOH screen by pressing the F9 function key on each screen to Update the information entered. If a faculty member does not have office hours, (adjuncts) then KeanWise will show Office Phone and from a colleague custom screen XDPT. To lookup a department, use the catalog abbreviations, for example Physical Therapy = PT Enter the following information: field 2 (Dept Phone) field 3 ( ). F9 to Update 5
6 Using Datatel User Interface 1.0 Please refer to the R17 Datatel user Interface 1.0 Fundamentals for overview information on the Datatel User Interface 1.0 application. Double click on this desktop icon and you will then see the Datatel Login window appear. Enter in your: User ID Password Verify what Database * you wish Click OK or press the Enter key *NOTE: Remember that ZEUS-XST or ZEUS-XCF is for TESTING ONLY. APOLLO-XST or APOLLO-XCF is the live production Database that you should be doing all your work in. After you hit enter you will see the following dialog box appear. 6
7 You will then be asked to enter the application you wish to access. Type ST to access the students system (This is what you would have typed at the colon prompt) Click OK or press the Enter key NOTE: The system will remember the application you entered and automatically go to this application the next time you login. You will be able to change applications once you are completely login. (This window may not appear. That is okay.) Enter your colleague/envision password. (This is the password you would type after you have typed ST or CF at the colon prompt.) Click OK or press the Enter key After you have entered your password and hit enter, you will see the following dialog box appear. 7
8 You are now logged in and at the main menu for the Student System. Keep in mind that the menu screens vary from person to person. This depends on the type of access one may have. Click on XREG to access Registrar Information. In the Right side panel you will see the items in the XREG folder. 8

Using the scroll buttons, scroll through the list of names to locate the name you are searching for. When you locate the name you want, click the box to the Left of the name so that it is highlighted, as shown in the example below. After you have selected the name, click the Diskette on the bottom of the screen as shown below. This will bring this students information into the screen you need. 10 Once you have completed your lookup you will enter in the following information the XFOH screen NOTE: The way the information is entered on this screen is exactly how the student will see the information on Kean WISE. Once you have entered in all your information on the previous screens the students who are in a class, can view his scheduled faculty office hours once the student has logged into KEANWISE through following steps: 1.
