Immerse in ambient water for 1 hr. Put the wet sponge (such that it will not pool excessively inside the hollowware) into the article at least 1/2-2/3 of its capacity. Freeze at -5 C (or 23 F) or lower for 24hrs. Remove from freezer and check for any damage. In 45 seconds, quickly transfer to a preheated oven at 240 C + / - 10 for 20 minutes.
