1 New Student Online Enrollment Walkthrough Bastrop ISD is excited to announce new student online enrollment for the upcoming school year! Beginning June 15, 2015, families can begin the enrollment process for children new to the district through their Bastrop ISD Family Access account. The move to an electronic system eliminates the time and money required to make and distribute thousands of paper copies, increases staff efficiency, ensures the district has the most up to date information about students, and, most importantly, saves parents time. Before you begin the online enrollment process you will need the following: An active account. A Bastrop ISD Family Access Account Digital copies of the following documents: o Enrolled Students Birth Certificate o Parent/Guardian Identification Card o Proof of Residency (utility bill, new home contract, mortgage statement, or lease) o Student Social Security Card o Vaccination Records If you need assistance creating an account a helpful walkthrough document can be found on the district website by clicking the New Student Online Enrollment link on the district homepage or by selecting the Parents and Students drop down > Student Registration > Click here for Instructions on how to create an address.

2 After you have an active account you will need to create an Enrollment Account. If you already have a student enrolled you already have a Family Access Account created. You will need to contact your enrolled child s campus registrar to obtain this information or select the Forgot your Login/Password? link when accessing registration. After logging in to Family Access parents that already have a student enrolled will be able to select New Student Online Enrollment in the upper right hand corner. If you are enrolling a child in Bastrop ISD for the first time, a link for creating this account can be found on the district website by selecting the Parents and Students drop down > Student Registration > Click here to request an enrollment login. You will be taken to the following page and asked to input your name, address, and phone number. After completing the security verification you may select submit. An automated will be sent to your account with your login credentials for Skyward Family Access. If you do not receive this please check your Spam and Trash folders as some accounts filter out automated s.

3 After you have you have retrieved your login credentials from your account, go to and input the Login ID and Password. Select Sign in to begin the application process. If you have forgotten your login and password, select the Forgot your Login/Password? link. Make sure the Login Area selected is Enrollment Access. Upon successful sign in you will be taken to a page similar to this one. Please take a moment to read the instructions in yellow. If at any point in the application process you need stop, select the Save and go to Summary Page button. If you need translation services use the Select Language drop down in the upper Right In Step 1 of the Application process you will be inputting student information for the student you would like to enroll. Please note, all fields marked with an asterisk * are required and must be completed for enrollment to be successful. After filling in all of the required information, Select Complete Step 1 and move to Step 2: Family/Guardian Information.

4 In Step 2 you will be asked to input your own information as parent/guardian of the child that is being enrolled. Again, all fields marked with an asterisk * are required and must be completed for enrollment to be successful. You may add additional legal guardians by selecting the Yes, I want to Add another Legal Guardian who lives at this address link. Once you have input all guardians select the No, Complete Step 2 and move to Step 3: Emergency Information button. In Step 3, you have an opportunity to add additional emergency contacts. To add an emergency contact select the Yes, I want to Add another Emergency Contact Record link. Once you have added all the necessary emergency contacts select the No, Complete Step 3 and move to Step 4: Requested Documents button. In Step 4, you have an opportunity to upload 5 requested documents that will be needed to complete your child s enrollment. Parents/Guardians may make digital copies of these documents by scanning or taking pictures on their phone. If you cannot obtain digital copies to upload to the enrollment application you will be required to bring these items to your childs campus at a later date. By selecting the Choose File button you will be able to select digital documents from your computer or phone and upload them directly into the application. Once you have added all the requested documents select the Complete Step 4 and move to Step 5: Additional District Forms button.

5 In Step 5 you will be asked to complete a number of required district forms. Again, all forms marked with an asterisk * are required and must be completed for enrollment to be successful. By clicking on a form you will open a new window. A pop up will ask Would you like to complete it now? Select Yes. You must complete the information within the window and select Save in the upper right hand corner to successfully complete the form. After you have saved your form select Back to Additional District Forms After all forms labeled with an asterisk are completed select the Complete Step 5 button At this point you can select the Submit Application to the District button and your registration will be submitted to the campus. Please note that your registration will not be complete until you are contacted by the campus registrar.
