3 Initial Log In What to expect when logging in for the first time. You should have received an from Cabrillo College's Financial Aid Office with a link to log into your MyVerify account. After clicking the link, you will log in using your Cabrillo student ID and your Canvas password (top image). If a link was not sent to you, visit Once you have logged in a Privacy Policy will pop up (bottom image), read through it and to move forward, hit the " I Accept" button. 1 M Y V E R I F Y Q U I C K G U I D E

4 Account Confirmation CONFIRM YOUR STUDENT INFORMATION You've agreed to the terms of the Privacy Policy, the next step will be to "Confirm Student Information". Enter the information requested, date of birth and social security number. Make sure your name matches what you put on your FAFSA application. Add your phone number to opt into receiving text messages regarding the status of your financial aid. A phone number is not required, and you can always adjust your settings later. After clicking "Create Account" you may be asked to verify your address. Note: If you opt in for text updates, the messages will be from a Phoenix area code. 2 M Y V E R I F Y Q U I C K G U I D E

5 Student Profile Once you have confirmed your account, you will be brought to the home page. Here you will see tasks that will need to be completed in order to send your file to the review stage. Note: Tasks listed will vary from student to student. In the upper right hand corner you will see a drop down arrow next to your name. 6 Here you can update any of your personal information. Click the pencil icon to edit, enter your password to confirm the change. You also have the option to subscribe to receive s and text alerts on the status of your financial aid file. 4 M Y V E R I F Y Q U I C K G U I D E

7 Tasks At Hand Complete from any mobile device! From the home page you can view any tasks that need to be submitted to complete your file. Click the drop down arrow to view details about the task at hand. You will be able to fill out, upload, and submit documents from any mobile device. At this step in the verification process we are waiting on you. Files will be viewed on a first come, first serve basis. Complete tasks in a timely manner to be moved to the review processing stage. 5 M Y V E R I F Y Q U I C K G U I D E

8 Uploading Files Upload documents right from your mobile device! Depending on the task, you may be required to upload certain forms of documentation. Some examples of some possible forms would be: Student Tax Return Transcripts and/or Signed Tax Return Parent Tax Return Transcripts and/or Signed Tax Return Selective Service Appeal Documentation Identity and Statement of Educational Purpose Citizenship documents Dependency Status Documents Click the Upload button and select the document you want to upload. Make sure that the document/ image is clear and not cut off. Note: Not all of these forms will be required for every student. 6 M Y V E R I F Y Q U I C K G U I D E

9 Finishing Files Off to The Review Stage! Once each task has been submitted, there will be a green "Finish" button that pops up. Click this to send your student verification file off to the processing stage. Upon finishing your file, the processing stage is 4-6 weeks. If you opted into receiving text updates for the status of your file, you will receive messages if additional documents have been requested, as well as, when your file has finished going through review. 7 M Y V E R I F Y Q U I C K G U I D E

10 PARENT INFORMATION REQUESTS Setting up a parent account to e-sign student documents. Some forms used in the verification process require a parent signature. If a parent signature is needed, students will send a request through their MyVerify account. A valid and accessible address is required for at least one parent. The parent selected will be sent an with a link to set up their account. After filling out their information for the account, they will need to confirm their students information and verify their address before electronically signing any forms. 8 M Y V E R I F Y Q U I C K G U I D E

11 PARENT INFORMATION REQUESTS Continued. After creating a parent account, they will receive an with a link to verify their account. After verifying the parent's , they may now log in with the username and password they created to e-sign their student's documents. The home page of the parent's account will show the forms that need their signature. Select "Preview" to view the form(s). 12 PARENT INFORMATION REQUESTS Continued. If all the information is correct, then they will e-sign the document with the password they created for their account. Read through the Terms and Conditions that pop up and accept to input e- signature. If any information is incorrect, select "Form Not Approved". The form will be sent back to the student and they will correct any information that was entered incorrectly. E-sign the form when all information is correct. If the parent does not want to use the E-signature feature to sign their students documents, they may "Opt Out of E-Sign" and use an alternative method. 1 0 M Y V E R I F Y Q U I C K G U I D E
