3 Setting Up Nochex as a Payment Option With the Nochex payments module installed you can not only accept credit card payments but also Nochex members can pay using their Nochex account. Customers don t even need a Nochex account to make payments through Nochex making it quick and easy for customers to make payments. Nochex uses anti-fraud protection like 3D Secure the leading Internet Authentication Protocol designed by Visa and MasterCard, to ensure your customers can make payments in confidence. s are sent directly from Nochex giving payment confirmation both to the customer and the seller. The installation instructions below explain how to setup Nochex as a payment option in Jigoshop ecommerce. 3

4 Installation Instructions 1. Firstly make sure you have the Jigoshop ecommerce plugin installed into your WordPress. 2. Make sure you have downloaded and extract the Jigoshop_eCommerce _Module folder located here. 3. Make a backup of your website files in case anything goes wrong, then copy the files from the extracted archive to the corresponding WordPress folders on your webserver. Excluding the PaymentConfiguration.txt page which can be found somewhere like: wp-content/plugins/jigoshopecommerce/src/jigoshop/container/configurations/paymentconfiguration.txt. You can use FTP for this process or a File Manager. 4. Go to and open the PaymentConfiguration.txt page in a text editor like notepads or something similar. 5. Add the lines from this page into your PaymentConfiguration.php page 6. Once completed, save all changes. 7. Login to your WordPress admin section, and go to Jigoshop > Settings > Payment 8. Next you can set your default gateway to Nochex, and scroll down the page to the Nochex Section; 4

5 9. Now fill in your details as shown on the screen below, a. Is Enabled Enable the Nochex Module b. Title This is shown on your checkout page. c. Nochex Merchant ID / Address Your registered Nochex address or account alias. d. Postage Display postage separate from the overall total on your payment page. e. Test Mode Enable this option to test that the Nochex module is working correctly. (Always remember to change this option to No when you want to start accepting live payments!) f. Hide Billing Details Hide the billing details on your payment page, if enabled place a note on your checkout page for customers to check details before making a payment as they won t be asked for billing details g. Detailed Product Information Display your products in a structured format on your payment page. h. Debug Help to find any issues in the Nochex module. 10. Once complete, scroll to the bottom of the page and save all details. 11. Finally complete a test transaction by going through your shopping cart and choosing the Nochex payment option to check everything is working. 5

6 Troubleshooting Why is my Nochex payment page not showing? Possible reason: Incorrectly entered the Nochex Merchant Address / Merchant ID on the Nochex Module Setup Solution: Check the Nochex Merchant ID / Address is correct and matches the address registered on your Nochex account Why can I not see the Nochex module on the payment settings? Possible reason: There could be missing lines of code missing from your PaymentConfiguration.php page Solution: Open the PaymentConfiguration.php page and check this page contains the lines of code from your extracted PaymentConfiguration.txt page. 6
