7 1. Introduction 1.1 Background Community Health Councils (CHC) and Team14 of University of Southern California, class CSCI 577 FALL2013/SPRING2014 teamed to develop a mobile survey application to map and assess physical assets and detriments to health as part of an initiative to reduce rates of obesity and hypertension in South Los Angeles. The project will be known as the Healthy Kids Zone or HKZ. 1.2 Purpose The purpose of this document is to provide a detailed description of the test cases to ensure requirement verification and validation of the detailed requirements documented on winbook to complete HKZ Acceptance. 1.3 Scope The HKZ consists of two main parts; a web management application and a mobile survey application. The web portion will be hosted on the commercial Godaddy webhosting service and will allow administrators to configure and publish surveys created on SurveyMonkey for users to complete on a mobile application. The mobile application is developed for the Android platform and allows users to complete surveys and submit results. 1

8 2. Test Strategy and Preparation Value-based Prioritization strategy: Tests can be ranked by how well they can reduce risk exposure. Our team will use this strategy and compare relative testing costs, which will result in tests being prioritized according to return on investment (ROI) or risk reduction leverage (RRL). Tests include testing scenarios, test cases and features. Test Environment Preparation: Ensure all designated testers have the same software configurations and version of the web browser for web testing. Since we have limited resources for Android capable mobile smartphones, there will be one designated phone for mobile app testing. The test environment will be prepared by installing the latest code from the HKZ Github repository main branch. For the web portion, there will be a designated test folder on the HKZ web server hosted by Godaddy. Requirements-Test : The test cases should be traceable to all the requirements acquired from the use cases through the SSAD and Winbook through the OCD. 2.1 Hardware preparation The hardware needed for HKZ testing will be a desktop/laptop computer with internet access and a Smartphone running the Android OS above 4.0 with network connectivity. 2.2 Software preparation Firefox/Chrome/IE above Requirements Table 1: Requirements Matrix Requirements Verification Type Test Case The HKZ Website shall allow user to use admin TC credential to login to HKZ System The HKZ Website shall show the user as logged TC into the HKZ Website The HKZ Website shall allow user to reset the TC password and related address The HKZ Website shall allow user to logout TC The HKZ Website shall display surveys from TC Survey Monkey Website associated with the CHC credentials and a survey title starting with the string HKZ_ in a list, titled Survey Monkey List by survey name as one row of the list The HKZ Website shall display a HKZ survey TC stored in the HKZ database in a list, titled Database List by survey name as one row of the list The HKZ Website shall not allow the HKZ survey key to exist in both lists: Survey Monkey List and TC
