The analysis detected PCP at 76.8 and 77.7 micrograms per liter (pg/l), which is above the current Health Risk Limit of 0.3 pg/l as established by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) in The breakdown product 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorophenol was detected in the two samples at 2.87 and 2.96 pg/l. No other breakdown products were detected in these samples. The detections of PCP and 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorophenol in the samples are within the range of the concentrations detected during historic sampling events of the well. The MDA understands that water from your well is used for industrial processing only, and is not used for drinking, washing or other activities which may involve human contact or consumption. As a part of this project, your well may need to be sampled occasionally. MDA staff will contact you to arrange for access prior to any future sampling events.
