1 SIMnet Online Student Registration Guide Delaware Technical and Community College 1 DTCC SIMnet Login Page (all students will begin at the URL above) Every school has its own SIMnet log in page (see above). Notice our school name appears in the upper right corner of the SIMnet log in page. Before registering your account, be sure to double-check that you are using the correct SIMnet page for your school Do you see the DTCC logo? If you do not, you need to use the url above to enter SIMnet. Three scenarios for students taking this online course are below. Click (depending on your settings you may need to use CTRL while clicking) on the scenario link that fits you for detailed instructions. Registering Your SIMnet Online Account (registration code purchased) Registering Your SIMnet Online Account (without a code and want to purchase online at the SIMnet site) Registering Your SIMnet online account (waiting for money)

2 Registering Your SIMnet Online Account (registration code purchased) 2 If you already have purchased your SIMnet Registration Code at the bookstore or elsewhere, you will do the following: Click on No, but I have a code After clicking on No, but I have a code, you will see the following screen asking if you are a DTCC student Click Yes--Do you attend Delaware Technical & Community College Click No Do you already have a SIMnet Online username Read the End User License Agreement. Check this box if you agree to the end user license agreement..

3 3 CAMPUS: Select from the pull down menu DTCC Owens Select the course name you enrolled into, i.e, 152-2W1, , 159-2W1, etc. Key in your Registration Code

4 Make sure you follow these directions so there is consistency in all of the courses. Key in the following information: This course is paired with Banner and information should be the same. 4 First Name: Use same name as DTCC. Last Name: Use same name as DTCC. This has to do with communication within SIMnet. You may use whichever you wish (personal or school) Student ID: Use same ID as DTCC. Username: Use same login name as DTCC. Password: Recommend using the same as DTCC. Click on Finish Congratulations! I hope you enjoy using SIMnet to learn some new and valuable skills.

5 5 Registering Your SIMnet Online Account (without a code and want to purchase online at the SIMnet site) If have not purchased your SIMnet Registration Code at the bookstore or elsewhere, and want to purchase it online through SIMnet, follow these instructions. Click on No, I need to buy a license After clicking on No, I have to buy a license; you will see the following screen asking if you are a DTCC student Click Yes--Do you attend Delaware Technical & Community College Click No Do you already have a SIMnet Online username

6 6 Read the End User License Agreement. Check this box if you agree to the end user license agreement.. CAMPUS: Select from the pull down menu DTCC Owens Select the course name you enrolled into, i.e, 152-2W1, , 159-2W1, etc.

7 7 Select the product required for your course. 152 Excel select SIMnet 2013 In Practice Excel 151 Access select SIMnet 2013 In Practice Access Database Make sure you follow these directions so there is consistency in all of the courses. Key in the following information: This course is paired with Banner and information should be the same. First Name: Use same name as DTCC. Last Name: Use same name as DTCC. This has to do with communication within SIMnet. You may use whichever you wish (personal or school) Student ID: Use same ID as DTCC. Username: Use same login name as DTCC. Password: Recommend using the same as DTCC.

8 8 Select your method of payment. Click on next and follow the directions until you are finished.

9 Registering Your SIMnet online account (waiting for money) 9 The good news is that you are able to begin the course on time even if you have not yet purchased the SIMnet registration code. This course has been set to allow a trial registration for 12 days. In other words, you can enter the course and begin all of the assignments on time. Every time you login, SIMnet will remind you that the trial period will be over. Once the trial period is over, all of your content is deleted. I cannot access it, you cannot access it, SIMnet cannot access it. Everything you did is gone! If you need a trial period due to lack of funds at the moment, follow these directions. Click on No, but I have a code I know this does not make sense because you do not have a code but continue. After clicking on No, but I have a code, you will see the following screen asking if you are a DTCC student Click Yes--Do you attend Delaware Technical & Community College Click No Do you already have a SIMnet Online username
