1 1 How to use Pro9Trader for NinjaTrader 7 Quick Start Guide Before we begin, are you connected to a CQG or Continuum data feed? Already connected? Skip to: How to Roll-Over Your Contracts on page 5. If you don t see a green box in the lower left, you are not connected. You need to set up a true live & historical data feed in order for Pro9Trader to work. Some feeds do not have complete data. The CQG/Continuum data feed trial will work, as will a feed from Kinetick.com When you download NinjaTrader from NinjaTrader.com and enter your , you are asked Do you want FREE live market data? Click Yes. NinjaTrader will ask for a username and password when you open it for the first time. This info comes in an from CQG/Continuum about 15 min after downloading. If you did not do this when you downloaded NinjaTrader, please go to NinjaTrader.com and do this again. Within 15 minutes you will receive an from CQG/Continuum with the info you need. Once you have this , follow these steps to connect to CQG:

2 2 1. Open NinjaTrader 2. Click Tools > Account Connections 3. Click the Add Button. Click Change if you already setup a connection but it may be configured wrong.

3 3 4. Make sure your settings match the image below, or Continuum is also acceptable. 5. If all the settings above look the same on your screen, or if you see Continuum instead of CQG, click the Next button. 6. Enter the User Name and Password you received in an from CQG/Continuum when you downloaded your free trial of NinjaTrader: 7. Make sure all the checkboxes above look the same on your screen, click the Next button.

4 4 8. Connect. Click File > Connect > cqg 9. The green box should appear in the lower left on the Control Center window, and you should be connected. If not, please contact NinjaTrader support. 10. We just need to check one more thing before we open our first chart, just in case. Continue below: Are your contracts rolled over? Before we open a chart, let s make sure our contract dates are current. We will show you how on the next page. (If you are already certain your contract dates are correct, you can skip to How to Open a Pro9Trader Chart on page 7)

5 5 How to Roll-Over Your Contracts 1. On NinjaTrader Control Center, Click Tools > Instrument Manager 2. Choose an expired contract on the left

6 6 3. Click the right-arrow button 4. Click the left-arrow button You can see the date next to the symbol has changed to a future date. Your contact is now rolled over. If the date did not change, the contract was already current. After NinjaTrader is installed, you must download and run Pro9Trader.exe from the Members Area of AcademyDayTrading.com. Close NinjaTrader before you install Pro9Trader. There will be no icon on your desktop for Pro9Trader. Pro9Trader installs into NinjaTrader. You are now ready to open your first chart, we will show you how on the next page.

7 7 How to Open a Pro9Trader Chart 1. Open NinjaTrader 2. On the NinjaTrader Control Center window, Click File > New > Chart 3. A new Data Series window opens 4. Double-Click on any market on the left. In this case we have selected TF. 5. On the right, click inside the box to the right of Type and select Pro9Bars You may have to scroll down

8 8 6. Toward the bottom of this window, there is a dropdown menu that says Load the following Chart Template: Select Pro9Trader 7. Click OK 8. If this is your first time using Pro9Trader, a blank chart will open, and you will be asked to register your chart. If you have already purchased Pro9Trader, enter your when prompted and us at support@academydaytrading.com to update your records. This often happens if you change computers or hardware inside your computer. NOTE: This window may be behind the chart or another window. You may have to move other windows out of the way to see it. 9. Please enter the SAME ADDRESS you use to access the Members Area at AcademyDayTrading.com 10. Click OK. After a brief pause, your Pro9Trader chart should appear. Did you update Pro9Trader and still see the old version? Just uninstall the old version manually. Here s how:

9 9 How to Uninstall Pro9Trader and Install it Again Fresh 1. On NinjaTrader Control Center, Click File > Utilities > Remove NinjaScript Assembly 2. Select Pro9Trader and click Remove 3.
