1 THE BACKGROUND Cyberspace was founded in 1995 and commenced operation same year as a wholly owned Nigerian Company. With a mission to providing excellent value added ICT services and cutting edge networking solutions, the company has been able to distinguish itself as a complete network and software solution provider in the industry with its state of the art and world class internet protocol(ip) infrastructure. Cyberspace is reputed for being the first to build a world class converged IP network that supports applications based on the 3 hierarchical models in Cyberspace was the first service provider to implement the MPLS backbone in Nigeria. In furtherance to its commitment to providing top-notch services owing to the dynamism of consumer s habits, explosive growth of data and cloud based computing; Cyberspace in 2014 deployed a 4G LTE network infrastructure to bring to her customers to undeniable feel of 10x Speed, Mobility, Security, Throughput and Reduced Latency. Thus, the Cyberspace LTE usage monitor was created for the purpose of updating the LTE subscribers on their day-day consumptions of their LTE data. It also gives a complete detail of how much data has been consumed and how many percentage data volume is remaining in the account (MDN) of all the registered MDN. OBJECTIVES This manual was specially made for the following purposes Making it easier for the subscribers to view their data consumptions whenever they launch into the internet. Showing Cyberspace LTE subscribers the details of their day to day data consumption Making the Cyberspace LTE subscribers information very private and secured Creating more rooms for the subscribers to navigate through the self-care portal in order to know more about our various LTE services. 1 P a g e

2 INTRODUCTION CYBERSPACE LTE USAGE MONITOR This application is specifically made for all individual and co-operate subscribers of any of the service plans contained in our self-care portal. It ease subscribers usage in viewing their data consumption history. It automatically notifies the user of this app about the data consumption of all the registered MDN. It has the ability to monitor multiple but registered MDN Ability of the app user to determine the notification interval having being activated under certain staff The app is self-contained because it requires the subscribers correct personal details which are the MDN, username and password for effective operation. The application contains nearly all the features that the subscriber would need to obtain any desired information as the case may be. It is pertinent for subscribers to know that the app can only work after an effective installation. The app intended user is expected to install the app into their personal computer running windows operating system such as (Window XP, Window 7,8 and 10) and then run or navigate through the app by following the procedures that will be stated as follow. The Dashboard It is pertinent for subscribers to know that the Cyberspace LTE usage monitor does not appear on the screen at first opening rather it runs through the arrow at the right side of the task bar. As a subscriber that runs this application for the first time, double click app on the desktop and it displays this Please, Kindly Add MDN to be Monitored; No MDN Exist.This shows that the app is already running but has gone down to the arrow at the right side of the task bar and is 2 P a g e

3 hidden. As a subscriber locate the arrow, click on it to see all the icons contained in the box that will appear below the screen. The cyberspace LTE usage Monitor is shown below. As a subscriber, follow the following procedures to bring the cyberspace usage monitor app to the screen for operations locate and click on the arrow at the right side of the task bar, all hidden icons appear in the box that will be shown locate the icon that is shown above inside the box Right click on the icon itself and it will display 3 different options which are 1. Show Ace 2. Hide Ace and 3. Exit as shown below Click on show Ace and it automatically moves the app to appear on the task bar Click on the app located on the task bar and it will appear on the screen. 5 THE OPERATION The MDN menu The operation of the Cyberspace LTE usage monitor is a very simple one. As a subscriber Fill in the boxes with your personal details as required. Type in your correct MDN, your cyberspace LTE username and password and click on add new Using the same procedure, fill in as many MDN as you would using the correct username and password of the concerned subscribers All the username and passwords that has been checked automatically appears in the box as shown below using the arrow. Add New Menu Add new menu as directed by the arrow in the diagram is used for adding as many MDN as the subscriber wishes to add. Once the correct details has been filled, click on add new for a successful operation. Edit Selection Edit selection is used for removing any selected MDN from the list. Highlight the concerned MDN by clicking on it then click on Edit selection. This takes the selected MDN from the box to the MDN box for further operation 5 P a g e

6 Update selection This part of the MDN page as shown below is used for clearing the credential boxes in cases of unexpected errors while filling the credential boxes. Fill in the credential boxes and click on Update selection. Deleting the MDN To delete any MDN from the list, select the MDN by clicking to highlight then click on delete option as shown in the image above. Clear List To clear the MDN list in order to have an empty box, click on the clear list Icon as shown in the Image above. This refreshes the list and gives a cleared box Data Usage Statistics This page displays the data consumption of a particular MDN. 6 P a g e

7 The image above shows the MDN, time connected, Time Disconnected, Data used (MB), and the description. The subscriber at first should click on the drop down as directed by the image above. This displays the drop down of all the MDN that has been filled into the MDN list in the first page. Click on refresh for the required information to be displayed in the data usage statistics Menu. The settings menu The settings menu is mainly for notification. This menu updates or notifies the subscriber on his current data volume and the percentage (%) that is remaining in his account. This information as explained in the introduction of this manual comes up according to the minute the subscriber has chosen. Let s see an example in the figure below 7 P a g e

8 In the above image, we assume the subscriber has chosen to have the information come up to his screen every five minutes. There are many other options the subscriber could choose form ranging from 1 to 120 Minutes as displayed on the screen, it depends on the number of times he wants to be notified on his data consumption. This notification continues to come at intervals from when the subscriber opens the application to when he closes the application. It is also important to note that the app notifies the subscriber whenever his data consumption is completely consumed. Contact us This menu shows contains the self-care url. This is for a directory into the self-care portal and is meant subscribers to log into the portal for a better clarification. Click on the url as directed by the arrow in the diagram below to log into the self-care portal. 8 P a g e

9 Feedback menu On the feedback menu, the application user will be able to communicate with cyberspace on any issues such as comment, enquiries or complain. Users should fill there detail as shown on the screen below and the company will follow up on their feedback category selection. 9 P a g e
