1 SIMPLE STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILING THE IRS 990-N POSTCARD ALL CLUBS are REQUIRED to submit the Postcard by May 15 th of each year. Club Information That You Will Need Log Into The IRS Postcard Web Site First you will be sent to a Disclaimer page Log Into The IRS Postcard Web Site Existing User You will be sent to the Log-in page. Enter your ID and Password GO TO STEP 15, PAGE Log Into The IRS Postcard Web Site New User You will be sent to the Request Login ID page. Click NEXT You will be sent to the Request Log-in page. Enter your Organizations EIN Enter YOUR NAME and contact info; select a Password You will receive a CONFIRMATION Message You also will receive a CONFIRMATION You will be sent to the ACTIVATE Log-in page. Enter your Password Now You Can CREATE YOUR FORM COMPLETE THE FORM 990-N (e-postcard) Enter your Organization information, YOUR contact information Enter your CLUB PRESIDENT S Contact Info Confirm that you want to submit (click OK) CONGRATULATIONS your Postcard has been submitted You can check Filing Status / View the Postcard The Postcard looks like this You can check the IRS FAQ Page You will receive a CONFIRMATION stating IRS Status: Accepted FORWARD the Postcard to Toastmasters International Forward to 990n@toastmasters.org How to Find Your Club s EIN Log into your membership on Toastmasters International Go to CLUB CENTRAL... 20

3 29. Go to Your Club s BUSINESS PAGE Click on Update My Club Mailing Address Your club s EIN is at the bottom of the page... 21

4 1. Club Information That You Will Need A. Club Name B. Club s President s Name And Mailing Address C. Club Employer Identification Number (EIN) o See Step 26, Page 20 If You Do Not Have Your Club s EIN Number D. Club s Login ID And Password (If Available)

5 2. Log Into The IRS Postcard Web Site a. You will be taken to the IRS Web site 990-N instruction page. CLICK HERE!

6 3. First you will be sent to a Disclaimer page CLICK HERE!

7 4. Log Into The IRS Postcard Web Site Existing User If you have your club s log-in information, CLICK HERE! (Update /User Information) 5. You will be sent to the Log-in page. Enter your ID and Password If you have your club s log-in information, CLICK HERE! (Update /User Information) Then click Log In 6. GO TO STEP 15, PAGE 12

8 7. Log Into The IRS Postcard Web Site New User If you do not have your club s log-in information, Register as a new user. CLICK Either LINK! (Register as a New User) 8. You will be sent to the Request Login ID page. Click NEXT

9 9. You will be sent to the Request Log-in page. Enter your Organizations EIN Your ID Type = EXEMPT ORGANIZATION Enter your EIN Number (See Page XX, below, if you do not have your EIN) Click NEXT 10. Enter YOUR NAME and contact info; select a Password Enter ALL the requested information Enter YOUR NAME, and phone Use a Password that can be given to other club officers

10 11. You will receive a CONFIRMATION Message xxx x 12. You also will receive a CONFIRMATION You also will receive a CONFIRMATION . You will need to OPEN it and click the link to ACTIVATE

11 13. You will be sent to the ACTIVATE Log-in page. Enter your Password This brings you to the ACTIVATE Page Enter your PASSWORD again xxx xxx x 14. Now You Can CREATE YOUR FORM CONGRATULATIONS! That was the hard part. Click on the CREATE YOUR FORM to get started.

12 15. COMPLETE THE FORM 990-N (e-postcard) 16. Enter your Organization information, YOUR contact information A. Be sure it says 1/1/20XX to 12/31/20xx B. NO (unless is has gone out of business) YES your gross receipts are under $50,000 C. Leave Toastmasters International D. Enter your EIN Click NEXT PAGE

14 17. Enter your CLUB PRESIDENT S Contact Info Enter President s name and address Then SUBMIT Filing to IRS o You can save changes then check all info before submitting *** LEAVE BLANK ***

15 18. Confirm that you want to submit (click OK) 19. CONGRATULATIONS your Postcard has been submitted
