1 PS&R Security Official modifies CMS Certification Numbers (CCN) PS&R Security Official modifies CMS Certification Numbers (CCN) The following walk-thru explains how a PS&R Security Official (SO) modifies the CMS Certification Numbers (CCN) for the organization. Important Before You Begin The PS&R Security Official (SO) for the organization is the only one who can modify any of the organization s profile information Business Contact Information is the individuals contact information, this information is specific to the user and is not used anywhere else. Organization Information is the information that the PS&R SO enters in the Organization's Profile. This is the information that will display for all the other users for the Organization such as the Legal Business Name (LBN), Tax Identification Number (TIN), the address and the Organization's CCNs. o If the Organizations CCNs needs to be updated, then the PS&R SO for the Organization must log in and update the information. o If the LBN needs to be updated the User must contact EUS for an escalation to be submitted. o If the TIN for the Organization needs to be updated, then the user must remove their role for the current TIN and re-register for a new role under the new TIN. Refer to User removes their own role for instructions on removing a role. CMS Certification Numbers (CCN) If the user is having issues logging into PS&R and the user states that the page "loops back to the sign-in page", that indicates there is an issue with the CCN on file for the organization, Contact EUS for assistance. The CCN field is used by EIDM and the Provider Statistical and Reimbursement (PS&R) application to authorize viewing of data reports for the organization.

The PS&R SO will go to the CMS Enterprise Identity Management (EIDM) Portal at If the PS&R SO does not have a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Device registered to their account, they will enter their User ID, Password, check "Agree to our Terms and Conditions" box, and select "Login". Once the PS&R SO has checked the "Agree to our Terms and Conditions" box on their device, they will not have to check the box again because the system will remember that device for future logins. The PS&R SO can read the Terms & Conditions by selecting the link. If the PS&R SO has an MFA Device registered to their account, the page will automatically display the "Choose MFA Device" field once they enter their User ID and Password.

3 The PS&R SO will enter their password and select the MFA Device Type from the drop-down menu under "Choose MFA Device".

4 The PS&R SO will enter the Security Code provided from their MFA Device, check the "Agree to our Terms and Conditions" box, and select "Login". Once the PS&R SO has checked the "Agree to our Terms and Conditions" box on their device, they will not have to check the box again because the system will remember that device for future logins. The PS&R SO can read the Terms & Conditions by selecting the link.

5 2. The PS&R SO will be directed to the "My Portal" page which will display each applications to which the User has access in EIDM. Each application will be shown in an icon box. The User will select "Request/Add Apps" or select the white triangle next to their name and "My Access" from the drop-down menu. The icon box identifying the application to which the User has access is a link which can be selected to navigate directly to that application, the page will only display the first six applications the User has access to in EIDM. However, Users who have access to the PS&R will not have a link to the PS&R Application.

6 3. Under the "My Access" box, the PS&R SO will select Other Actions. If the PS&R SO needs to add an additional role, refer to User adds an additional role to their account. To remove a role, refer to User removes their own role.

7 4. On the "View and Manage My Access" page the PS&R SO will select "View/Modify a Role". 5. On the "View/Modify PS&R/STAR Role Information" page the PS&R SO will select "Modify Attributes" next to the organization they want to edit.

8 6. The PS&R SO modify the organization's details, fields that are grayed out cannot be edited/modified. The Legal Business Name cannot be modified by the PS&R SO. If the LBN for the Organization has changed and the PS&R SO requests for it to be updated, submit an escalation to EUS the PS&R SO must submit an IRS Document to EUS. If the PS&R SO has any questions about the CCNs, they can refer to the "ihelp" self-help tool.

9 7. Once the CCN field is modified, the PS&R SO will type a reason in the "Reason for Request" section and select "Next".

10 8. The PS&R SO will review their information before submitting the changes. To continue updating the information the PS&R SO will select "Submit". If any of the information is incorrect, then the PS&R SO will select "Edit" and correct it. 9. The PS&R SO will be taken to an acknowledgment page that will show their request was successfully submitted and will have a tracking number for their action. The PS&R SO will select "Ok" after they are done viewing the page. The PS&R SO should keep this Request ID for their record. If anything happens with the modifications, they can give that Request Tracking ID to an Agent for an escalation.

11 10. The PS&R SO will receive a system-generated informing them their request has been processed and will include their Request Tracking Number.
