2 1. Select an Account in MS Outlook (1) Click in the area and enter the account the new contact is working for. (2) Click on the entry

3 2. Create a Contact in MS Outlook The account view is opened and displays the details. New contacts can be created directly from here. (3) Click on to launch the empty contact view. The account is pre-filled because the contact creation process has been started from the account view. The employee responsible is pre-filled automatically with the name of the loggedin user. The employee responsible can be changed easily. To do so open the popup that shows all available employees and select a different name. (4) Enter first and last name, then click on

5 (7) Enter the contact's middle name or middle initial. (8) Click on

6 (9) Click on to open a drop-down list. The values of all drop-down lists are downloaded from SAP CRM in the language of the logged-in user. So the SAP CRM configuration is available in Outlook to ensure data consistency. (10) Clicking the entry selects it

8 (13) Click on to open a drop-down list. (14) Clicking the entry selects it

9 (15) Click on. The communication fields are copied from the related account (the communication fields are related to the account's standard address). These entries can be modified. (16) Change the phone extension and click on

10 (17) Click in the mail field to change the address. (18) Click on

11 The business address is copied from the assigned account and cannot be modified (address linked to the relationship between account and contact). (19) Click on. (20) Click on

12 The private address can be maintained in this popup (address linked directly to the contact). (21) Click on. (22) Enter notes

13 (23) Click on to open the file dialog

14 (24) Select file and click on. (25) Click on Save & Close. The list of contacts shows the newly created contact

15 3. Start Synchronization Start manually the synchronizaion process to make this contact available in SAP CRM. Typically this process works in the background and starts in intervals defined by the user. (26) Right-clicking on with the mouse opens a context menu. (27) Click on

17 4. Check Contact Synchronization Let's have a look at the CRM WebClient UI and search for the newly created and synchronized contact. (28) Click on to launch the contact serach. (29) Enter first and last name as search criteria and click on

18 (30) In the result list click on to open the corresponding contact overview page. Here you can see that the contact has been synchronized between Outlook and SAP CRM. All the fields maintained in Outlook are visible here including the account relationship. From now on all changes in this contact record whether done in Outlook or in SAP CRM are synchronized
