5 1 MVRS 1.1 Menus Each province has its own menu item. The menus within each province are identical Page 5 of 30

6 1.2 Order MVRs New requests The MVR input screen is determined by mandatory fields for provinces and also settings of subscribers. * Signifies Mandatory fields Immediate MVR is checked if the user profile allows immediate MVRs. Users can remove the check box to order an overnight MVR instead. The following provinces offer immediate MVR service: Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI. NB, PEI and Alberta ministries require date of birth to be entered. This is not optional. NB name: for the time being users are requested to enter a value in the last name field. Alberta Screen Alberta ministry require date of birth to be entered. This is not optional. If the incorrect date of birth was entered, a ministry error will be returned. No automatic re-ordering is available Alberta discontinued that practice in Page 6 of 30

12 1.4 Order MVRs New requests with Convictions Disclosed activated If the insurance company subscribes to the Capture Conviction Disclosed feature; the user, or sponsored broker, will be presented with the MVR screen that has an additional mandatory entry field. The user will be expected to enter the number of convictions being disclosed by the applicant. If the applicant does not know if they have any convictions, the user will enter 99. Page 12 of 30

13 1.5 Order MVRs New Requests and MVR Predictor 2.0 If the insurance company subscribes to the MVR Predictor Service; the user or sponsored broker when ordering an MVR will automatically invoke a call to the Predictor model which will return a score. That score will be used to determine whether or not to order an MVR for the inquired driver based on a comparison of the score to the client s MVR threshold value. On implementation of Predictor 2.0, the changes will be seamless to the end user. Users will order MVRs exactly as they did before. Predictor 2.0 will use a separate threshold for each province, namely Alberta, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Prince Edward Island. When ordering an MVR using the Predictor 2.0 service, the Predictor decision is seamless resulting in either an MVR to be ordered or NOT to be ordered. Page 13 of 30

14 On the New MVR request screen, if the MVR Predictor Service has determined an MVR will not be ordered, then message MVR Predictor returned a do NOT Order MVR result is displayed on the screen. This is the only evidence that an MVR was NOT ordered as a result of MVR Predictor and the DLN # is not displayed along with the message. Note: 1) If the insurance company subscribes to the MVR Predictor feature; the user or sponsored broker will be presented with the MVR screen that has an additional optional entry field called Predictor Override if authorized. If not authorized, the Predictor Override checkmark box will not be displayed. Use the Predictor Override by checkmarking the box, if the MVR abstract response is still required to be ordered by the user. Page 14 of 30

15 1.6 Duplicate checking If the driver s licence ordered has been ordered before within the same subscriber or brokers sponsored by the same subscriber or across all subscribers, the users will be given an extra dialog area: Duplicate checking warning is given if: 1) The driver s licence was ordered and a reply Abstract was received within the last 30 days. The original (latest) reply is displayed. 2) The driver s licence was ordered and a reply Error was received within the last 30 days. The original (latest) reply is displayed. 3) The driver s licence was ordered and a reply was received (abstract or error) within the last 31 to 60 days this is a historied abstract. The limited information about the original reply is displayed. 4) The driver s licence was ordered and a reply is pending. Note: For cross carried duplicate scenario across all subscribers, only duplicate check warning for scenarios #1 and #4 will be returned. Page 15 of 30

21 1.8 List Requests Overnight request and immediate requests delayed for whatever reason are given a receipt. The receipt allows CGI to track MVR requests. They are for internal use. Users can check all their outstanding MVRs using List Request menu Page 21 of 30

23 1.9 Print Unprinted (for overnight request) This function allows user to print overnight MVRs. The print can be done for all or individually. Page 23 of 30

25 1.10 Print Unprinted (for immediate requests) This function currently does not allow user to print immediate MVRs. Workarounds are available: A) Use the print by date option. Allows users to print multiple MVRs, however the print is for the entire day. B) Print them one-by-one as they come back from the ministries. Page 25 of 30
