4 IPS Remote Site Facility Module Software Release Notes Product Interdependencies This subsection lists the requirements not included as part of the IPS Remote Site Facility Module. Software Requirements The IPS Remote Site Facility Module 8.35 requires the following software to operate all functions and features: DP 1800 SS1 or SS3, DP 1800/DL1, DL2 System Software, Version or DP 1000 SS3 System Software, Version Image InfoAdvisor, Version V Series COBOL74, Version Master Control Program (MCP) Enhancements and New Features This section contains information on features and enhancements which are new to the IPS Remote Site Facility Module 8.35 release. Enhanced Space Compression Routine For Remote Printing The COBOL space compression routine in RMD(MDP) and RPR has been replaced with a more efficient BPL ICM (I18SYM). RMD Remains In The Mix The RPM and RMD programs have been modified for RMD to remain in the MIX until a finish command is received from RPM. RPM Task Monitoring Capablities The RPM program now has the ability to display and purge remote print tasks contained in the remote print queues. In addition RPM can display the current task a remote printer is performing. Restrictions and Known Limitations None.
