4 Navigation Pane Enhancements Patient Accidents EMPOWERING HEALTH Navigation Pane Patient Record A new option Patient Accidents has been added to the Patient Record section of the Navigation Pane. Double clicking on the Patient Accidents option in the Navigation Pane will open the Patient Accidents list. Increase font size in Navigation Pane File Options User Preferences Layout A new option has been added to the Layout section of the User Preferences setup to enable a user to increase the font size of the display in the Navigation Pane. 5 When the Increase font size in Patient Record Navigation Pane is selected for a user, the text displayed in the Patient Record, Task Manager and Provider Inbox sections of the Navigation Pane will be increased to make it easier to read. 6 Patient Palette Enhancement Patient Account Balance The Patient Account balance displayed on the Patient Palette, has been enhanced to display in a slightly bigger font to make it easier to see on the Patient Palette. Previous display New display User Interface Enhancements Active tabs displayed in Bold text Any tab selected in Medtech Evolution will now be displayed in Bold text to highlight to the user which tab is Active and currently selected. 7 Increase Font size of Evolution tabs File Options User Preferences Layout A new option has been added to the Layout section of the User Preferences setup to enable a user to increase the font size of the module tabs within Medtech Evolution. When the Increase font size in Module tabs is selected for a user, the text displayed in the Module tabs within Medtech Evolution will be increased to make it easier to read. 8 Appointment Book Enhancement Appointment Calendar Pane remember position EMPOWERING HEALTH Home Appointment Books When the Appointment Calendar Pane in the Appointment Book screen has been minimised using the << button, on closing and reopening the Appointment Book, or closing and reopening Medtech Evolution, the the user setting will be remembered. Appointment Book Normal or Large View Actions View Normal (or) Large Users now have the ability to select a normal or an enlarged view of the Appointment Book. Within the Appointment Book Actions Menu, select View Normal or View Large. The Normal or Large view can be applied independently to each Appointment Book displayed for the user, and the change in view is remembered for each staff member. 9 Appointment Book View Normal Appointment Book View Large Remember Column Widths Home Appointment Books Users now have the ability to widen the columns within the providers appointment books to enable the display of more details within the Patient, Procedure and Notes columns if required. Hover between the columns until the double headed arrow is displayed then click and drag the column to the required width. The column width can be applied independently to each providers Appointment Book and the change in column width will be available to all users accessing the providers appointment book. 10 Clinical Enhancements Print indication in Daily Treatment Patient Consultation Daily Treatment section An enhancement has been made to the Daily Treatment section of the New/View Consultation screen to provide an indication to users on whether an item has been printed or not. A new column has been added to the Daily Treatment section of the screen which will display a P next to each item that has been printed for the patient. The P status will only be applicable for records printed after installation of the Medtech Evolution update. Copyright Medtech Limited Page 10 of 20

11 Patient Manager Remember Screen Positions EMPOWERING HEALTH Patient Patient Manager The splitter bar between the New/View Consultation screen and the Daily Record sections of the Patient Manager screen will now remember the most recent position set by a user. If the user moves the splitter bar, on closing and reopening the Patient Manager, or closing and reopening Medtech Evolution, the the user setting will be remembered Copyright Medtech Limited Page 11 of 20

12 Enhancements SMTP Configuration for File Options Location Location Settings SMTP configuration has been introduced in the location settings in order for practices to enable ing from Medtech Evolution silently, via SMTP. To enable the SMTP ing capability within Medtech Evolution: Select the Enable SMTP Configuration to Send option in the SMTP details section of the WebForms tab in the Location Settings screen. The SMTP configuration fields will be enabled for completion. Set the following SMTP configuration as required: Host Name: Specify the SMTP server name to connect to. Port No: Specify the SMTP server port to connect to. User Name: Specify the default user name for SMTP. Password: Enter the Password of the default user account. From: Specify the ID of the Sender. SSL Enable: Tick for secure SMTP connection. Copyright Medtech Limited Page 12 of 20

13 Click on Test Send button to validate the SMTP configuration. Once the SMTP has been enabled and configured for the practice in the Location Settings screen, Medtech Evolution will send s in the following manner: Patient HAS an address Where a patient has an address recorded in the Patient Register screen, and SMTP has been enabled and configured, all messages sent from within Medtech Evolution will be sent silently in the background using the account configured in the SMTP details. Patient DOES NOT have an address (or) the module has no To: field to enter an address Where a patient does not have an address recorded in the Patient Register screen or the module has no To: field to enter an address into, and SMTP has been enabled and configured, on clicking the Send option in any of the Medtech Evolution screens/modules, the below Recipient Addresses window will be displayed. 14 When the Recipient Addresses screen is displayed: 1. Enter the recipient address into the Address field and select either TO, CC, or BCC based on the addressing required for the If more addresses are required, then enter them one by one into the Address field and select either the TO, CC, or BCC field until all addresses are entered. Once all addresses are entered then select the Send Mail button to initiate the sending of the to the addressed recipients. 15 Statement Details SOTAP Consultation Attachments Manager Important Note: When the SMTP functionality is not enabled, or the SMTP details in the Location Settings are not correct or valid then standard Medtech Evolution capability will be used. Service Enhancement Searching the Services List File Options Accounting Services A search capability has been added to the Services setup to enable a user to search for a specific Service Code or Service Description within a large services list. Enter search criteria into the Search field within the screen and the Service Code list will immediately be filtered to display Service Codes matching the search criteria entered. 16 SMS Enhancements SMS Setup Auditing File Options SMS Setup SMS Setup An enhancement has been made to the Audit Log of the SMS Setup. The Audit Log will now capture details of ALL changes made to the SMS Setup in both the Practice Setup and Staff Setup tabs. 17 Resolved Issues Patient Search 1. Fixes an issue where spaces were unable to be entered into the Home/Work/Mobile Ph field in the Patient Search Advanced tab. 2. Fixes an issue where the error Error creating window handle or Problem in Medtech Evolution was displayed when closing the Patient Search screen. 3. Fixes an issue where users were unable to search for a Patient with an Inv/Pay Ref Number greater than 11 digits. Appointments 4. Fixes an issue where the Short Cut keys for Copy and Paste were not working in the Appointment Template setup screen. 5. Fixes an issue where the Procedure drop down list in a specific provider s Appointment Book screen was displaying the procedure list for a different provider. 6. Fixes an issue where a Patient s selected procedure in the Appointment Book was not displayed when printing the Appointment Book. 7. Fixes an issue where a Cancellation warning message was displaying when trying to extend the duration of a Non Patient Appointment. 8. Fixes an issue where the Patient Procedure was not displaying correctly in the Patient Appointments screen. Accounts and Claiming 9. Fixes an issue where the amount for a service configured as a Fixed Fee Service was changing when adding a second service to the invoice. 10. Fixes an issue where Statements scheduled to be run after hours were not completing and failing. 11. Fixes an issue that could introduce performance problems in the Account Holder Account screen when selecting to Include Archived Transactions in the Filter. 12. Fixes an issue where generating an invoice then making a payment put the payment first on the printout and the service underneath reversing the normal order. 13. Fixes an issue that could cause the Invoice screen to disappear behind the main Evolution window. 14. Fixes an issues where an invoice could be placed On Hold if saved originally as a GMS service and then modified to an ACC service with No Trigger Treatments. Copyright Medtech Limited Page 17 of 20

18 Scanning 15. Fixes an issue where Scanned Documents would not be split into separate files when using the Twain Compliant Scanning option and a blank page was inserted between the documents. SMS 16. Fixes an issue that could cause an SMS reminder associated to an Appointment to not be cancelled when the Appointment is cancelled for a patient. 17. Fixes an issue where the [LOC_NAME] merge field in an SMS message was displayed as the users logged in location when opening the SMS message from the SMS Outbox rather than the patient s appointment location. 18. Fixes an issue where an SMS message would be generated, and subsequently fail, from the Statement Workflow module for patients without a mobile phone number recorded when using the Send SMS option. Task Manager 19. Fixes an issue where sorting by the FROM column in the Staff Task screen would remove all task items from display in the list and the default filter would have to be reapplied to display all task items again. Query Builder 20. Fixes an issue where the Audit Staff - First Added' option was not displayed in the Encounter table within the Query Builder. 21. Fixes an issue where Screening Codes are displayed for selection in the Recall Code field rather than Vaccination Groups when the user has selected the Recall Type of Vaccine Group. 22. Fixes an issue where the 6W17 Immunisation Group is not displayed for selected in the Recall Code field when the user has selected the Recall Type of Vaccine Group. 19 Patient and Provider Inbox 23. Fixes an issue that could cause the Update button on an Immunisation Update message to not display for a user when reviewing the message in the Inbox. 24. Fixes an issue where a screening chart would not display correctly if the first screening measurement in the list had a value missing from the first value field. 25. Fixes an issue that could cause an exception error to be displayed when closing the View Inbox screen for a patient when the Patient Manager and Provider Inbox screens were also open. 26. Fixes an issue that could cause Patient Transfer Out documents in the Patient Outbox to be displayed with no content / error details in the record. 27. Fixes an issue that could cause a New Patient not to be added successfully from a Patient Nomination record. Patient Outbox 28. Fixes an issue where the Spell check feature in Outbox Document templates was recognising valid dictionary words with a dot(.) in the end as spelt incorrectly. 29. Fixes an issue where apostrophes ( ) in Outbox Documents were turning to question marks (?) when sent through HealthLink. 30. Fixes an issue where the ARC18 medical certificate was printed on two pages instead of one. 31. Fixes an issue where the ARC18 medical certificate was printing the Patient s DOB in American date format (MM-DD-YYYY) instead of English date format (DD-MM-YYYY). Clinical 32. Fixes an issue where the default consultation template is saved as a patient consultation record when nothing has been added to the consultation screen. 33. Fixes an issue where the format of consultation notes written back to the consultation screen from an Advanced Form is changing when the user uses a Clinical Keyword in the same Consultation Notes. 34. Fixes an issue where the error Problem in Medtech Evolution was displayed when closing the New Medication screen. 35. Fixes an issue where results were not displayed in the Read Code search if looking for a Read Code Description with three words in it. 36. Fixes an issue that could cause the Patient Medication Card to print without the grid lines. 37. Fixes and issue where an un-checked check box in a Screening Template could be saving to the database incorrectly. 38. Fixes an issue where the entire content is removed from the Consultation Notes screen removes the Consultation from the Daily Record because it is blank. 39. 20 40. Fixes an issue where a Medical Warning could be entered with a date in the future. 41. Fixes an issue where a Prescription could be entered with a date in the future when entering a medication as Externally Prescribed. Recalls 42. Fixes an issue where Auto Recalls are not applied to New Patients added to Evolution if the Auto Recall Setup does not have a value in the Add Recall In field. Immunisations 43. Fixes an issue where an error message was displayed when trying to add an Outcome to a Vaccine. 44. Fixes an issue that enabled users to enter vaccination records with a future administration date. 45. Fixes an issue that prevented the vaccinator details being saved in a group immunisation entry. ManageMyHealth 46. Fixes an issue where blank Outbox Documents are created when using the MMH option within the Recall Contact List. 47. Fixed an issue where the Forward Message option was not launching the Message Forward window when selected from the Reception Inbox. Other Resolved Issues 48. Fixes an issue where sorting of Providers was not working based on Sequence Number selected in the Staff Setup. 49. Fixes an issue where the Front Page was printing in A5 format even when A4 format was selected. 50. Fixes an issue where all Encounter Slips for a specific day are not printed when using the Report > Encounter Slips function. 51. Fixes an issue with the display of Patient Recalls on the printed Encounter Slip for a patient when printed at time of Arrival at the practice.
