10 Face Encoding: The area around the eyes is a particularly important region because offers sharp and clear edges which are not found elsewhere on the face, so by giving more weight to this area, FaRe increases the recognition performance. Sharpness and high contrast makes them ideal as fixed anchor points around which all of the other 3000 facial characteristics are measured. The 3000 characteristics mentioned above are consolidated into 1600 descriptors, which generate an encode array of 12kb.
