4 Animal A Quilt Page 4 lock Assembly: 1. Press fusible web to the wrong side of the abric A panel. Refer to the quilt photo as a reference and cut out the twelve large animals. 2. Press the elephant onto the 12 ½ x 8 ½ abric strip inish the raw edges of the elephant with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to make the elephant panel. Sew one 2 ½ x 8 ½ abric strip to each side of the elephant panel. Sew one 2 ½ abric square to each end of one 2 ½ x 12 ½ abric strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew one 2 ½ x 18 ½ abric strip to the top and to the bottom of the Yak block. Quilt Assembly Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top: 8. Sew four 2 x 12 ½ abric strips, the lephant block, the inosaur block and the ippo block together to make Row One. 9. Sew four 2 x 16 ½ abric strips, the Octopus block, the angaroo block and the Zebra block together to make Row Two. 10. Sew two 2 x 16 ½ abric strips, the ear block, two 4 x 16 ½ abric strips, the Alligator block and the Lion block to make Row Three. 11. Sew four 1 ½ x 18 ½ abric strips, the Walrus block, the iraffe block and the Yak block to make Row our. 12. Sew five 2 ½ x 56 ½ abric strips and the four rows in numerical order, together, alternating them, to make the quilt top.
