Brief Introduction YHY-1 Metal Debris Sensor is the advanced "Online Oil-Liquid Metal Detector", which is expert in detecting the Ferromagnetic Particle and the Non- Ferromagnetic Particle in the lubricating oil serving Mechanical Components (Bearing & Gears) YHY-1 Metal Debris Sensor is consisted of sensor and cable. The sensor is installed in the "Oil-Line". The sensor is connected with the upper device by cable. 1 / 5

Thread Depth is 17mm. Pipe Joint Connection is normally deployed, sealed by the "O" Ring or Adhesive Tape - Sensor Installation Dimension (mm) Sensor dimension is Length (148) x Width (125)x Height (102) The sensor could be fixed by the "Mounting-Hole (Ф 8.4mm)" in base-cover. Hole Center Distance is "103 x 92" Additional space should be reserved for sensor installation. 2 / 5

3 3.2 Electrical Connection The sensor could be connected with PC via Cable, as follows: 4. Wiring & Configuration 4.1 Wiring Definition Standard Sensor is available for "RS485 Sending Function (TX+, TX-)". "RS485 Receiving Function" could be customized. Standard /Default Sensor is equipped with "6-core Plug" (pluggable). 4.2 Wiring Notification Wire Sectional Area of the "Receiving-Signal Processing Unit" should meet 0.25mm 2 Communication Wire should apply "STP (Shielded Twisted Pair)". Communication Wires (RX+, RX-, TX+, TX-) should not be inversely connected. 4-wire communication wire and the power wire should be correctly wired. Otherwise, the communication convertor will be destroyed by high voltage. The Cable Length should be less than 500m, when the Baud Rate is bps 5. Notifications on Operation In case "Abnormal Situation" occurs, please cut-off the power supply. Please contact Tosilon if the fault cannot be solved. During the Transportation & Installation, the sensor should be handled with care. Before turn on power, make sure the wiring is correct. 6. Transportation & Storage During the transportation and un-packaged, the sensor should be avoid severe impact. Storage Environment should be clean, ambient temp. is -30~80 Deg. C; Humidity 95% (Non-condensate); Non-Corrosive 3 / 5

4 7. RS485 Communication When the particles are detected, the parameters will be sent to the Host via RS485 (Data Length: 51-Byte; Simplex / Duplex). Update Frequency is 1s 7.1 Transport Format Information Transmission adopt asynchronous mode in bytes. The contact information between the sensor and the host is based on 11-bit format. The Data-Frame consists Address Code, Data Field, Check Code. Address Code Data Field Check Code 8-Bits N 8-Bits 16-Bits Check: Data may have error caused by interference during the data transmission. It can inspect if the data has any error during the transmission to check the data and ensure the master PC does not response the wrong data. The checking uses CRC-16 redundant method. Below introduce the process. The concerned bytes in the frame are defined as a string of binary data (0, 1). The 16 th checksum is created as follows: the data steam times 216, divided by generator s polynomial (X16 + X15 + X2 + 1) that expressed with binary , the quotient is ignored, and the 16 bits remainder is the value of the CRC. Carry out XOR calculate to the first data byte with the 16 bites register low order byte, and save the result to the 16 3 bits register. 4 Move register data one bite toward the right, if over flow bit is 1, turn to progress 5, otherwise turn to progress 6. 5 Carry out MOR calculate to 16 bits register with generator new polynomial and save the result to the register. 6 Repeat process 4, until the eight byte move. Carry out XOR calculate to next data byte with the 16 bites register low order byte, and save the result to the 16 bits 7 register. 8 Repeat the process 4-7, until all bite of the data has carried out XOR by the 16 bits register. 9 The data in the 16 bites register is CRC / 5
