5 1. Introduction This document will describe the IPv6 implementation in ConnectOne s : G2 modules and the new Pico WiReach module. G2 modules refer to part numbers: iw-smg2n1, iw-smg2n2, iw-smg2smt-ex (or -OB), NANO Socket WiFi-a/b/g/n Relevant firmware: ID811d20 (BCOM) Pico modules refer to part numbers: iw-smg3smts-ex (or -OB) Relevant firmware: i4411l811d23 (BCLC) Important Note: IPv4 is not affected by the integration of the IPv6 5

6 2. IPv6 Configuration 2.1 at+i commands - IPv6 address Returns the IPv6 address at+iipa6? 2.2 at+i parameters - IPv6 address Default IP address for IPv6 at+idiv6? - IPv6 subnet Subnet for IPv6 at+isnt6? - IPv6 default gateway Gateway for IPv6 at+iipg6? 6

8 2.4 Manual IPv6 settings - Forced - IPv6 address In case that an IPv6 address is not set according to paragraph 2.1 above, The software will force a local link IPv6 address based on the MAC address. FE80:0000:0000:0000:[0000:<MAC[0 1]>:<MAC[2 3]>:<MAC[4 5]>] as the IPv6 address. For example if the MAC is the IPv6 address will look like this FE IPv6 subnet SUB net if SNT6 is set it will be used as the module IPv6 subnet else FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF is used. - IPv6 default gateway Gateway Should be configured using IPG6. 8
