Setup.exe Single installer for both OPC and OEG 2. OEGInstaller.msi OMEGA Enterprise Gateway installer. This installer installs executables, documents, and additional software components to a local computer 3. OPC UA Local Discovery Server 1.02.msi OPC UA Local Discovery Server installer. This installer is optional, but it is recommended. 4. ReleaseNotes.docx the release notes of OMEGA Enterprise Gateway details new features, enhancements, bug fixes etc. 5. License Statements Contains a list of licenses for commercial free software components that are used in the OMEGA Enterprise Gateway. 8. Must be installed first if you purchased an OPC license. 2. Install OPC DA Core Components Redistributable If you purchased an OPC license for OPC DA/UA connectivity, you must install the OPC Core Components Redistributable first. You can double click the OPC Core Components Redistributable.msi in the installation package to start the installation process. 3. Install OPC UA Local Discovery Service Although there is no precedence to install OPC UA Local Discovery Service vs OMEGA Enterprise Gateway, we recommend installing the Discovery service first. If your copy doesn t include the OPC server, you can skip this step. To install the OPC UA Local Discovery Service, double click the OPC UA Local Discovery Server 1.02.msi. Please follow the step-by-step wizard and accept the license agreement to finish the installation. 4. Install OMEGA Enterprise Gateway To install OMEGA Enterprise Gateway, double click the OEGInstaller.msi and follow the instructions on the wizard installation guide Welcome Page 4.2. License Agreement

4. Confirm Installation Once you have confirmed the installation, the installation program

Confirm Installation Once you have confirmed the installation, the installation program will try to install and copy all the necessary files to the installation folder and update the system. If you are prompted to the User Account Control dialog, click Yes to continue. At the end of the installation process, an initial setup dialog will pop up to allow users to install MongoDB, create self-signed certificate, and enable HTTPS connection for client and communication ports etc.

Install MongoDB If you already have MongoDB installed as a Windows service, the dialog will display MongoDB is already installed message in the installation path. You can skip installation if it s already installed or you want to use MongoDB installed on a remote machine. The connection string is mongodb://localhost:27017 by default for local MongoDB. If you want to connect remotely to MongoDB, you can change the localhost IP address or the host name of the computer where the MongoDB is installed. To install MongoDB, simply select folder and click the install button. If an error message dialog (shown below) pops up, you will need to install Visual C++ redistributable and try to install MongoDB again. The Visual C++ redistributable can be download from here: Note: The Visual C++ redistributable depends on many Windows updates. Please make sure that your system is up-to-date before the installation Configure Web Server There are two parameters for the web server 1. The web server port number. The default HTTP port for OMEGA Enterprise Gateway is Users can change it to any port. 2. The option to turn on/off the HTTPS connection. Note: Because a server has multiple usages, the default HTTP port 80 might be occupied.

When you select an existing certificate, please make sure that the certificate is used for remote machine authentication.

5 OMEGA Enterprise Gateway Installation Guide 5 If users want to use a secure connection for web browsing or calling APIs, they can turn on the HTTPS connection by selecting the checkbox Enable HTTPS Connection. To secure connection, a certificate must be provided. You can use default self-signed certificate by clicking Create Certificate or selecting an existing certificate. When you select an existing certificate, please make sure that the certificate is used for remote machine authentication. If you want to create a certificate on your own, please be aware that you will need to use the IP address (of the selected) to access the Gateway web page. Note: If the utility detects a user created certificate on a local machine, the create function will be grayed out to prevent duplicated creation Set Passive Device Listener The passive device listener is designed to accept Wi-Fi based sensing devices such as WW-ED and wseries. These devices turn-off automatically when they are not transmitting data, to save power. Only two parameters are required: Protocol TCP or UDP; Port the communication port. Additional setup is required on sensing devices; refer to the user manuals of each sensing device, if you require setup instructions. If you don t have these devices, you can just let it be.

Local Alarm Local alarm is a function for providing local (on the machine the gateway is installed) visual feedback when there is a measurement beyond threshold or a device has lost

6 OMEGA Enterprise Gateway Installation Guide MQTT (Cloud Connectivity) OMEGA Enterprise Gateway supports IOT and Cloud connectivity via MQTT protocol. The MQTT tab allows users to set MQTT broker settings. For more information, please refer to user manual Local Alarm Local alarm is a function for providing local (on the machine the gateway is installed) visual feedback when there is a measurement beyond threshold or a device has lost connection. If you plan to monitor the sensing data remotely, this function does not apply. Local alarm function is turned off by default. The gateway must run as a console application Apply Changes Click Apply Changes button to save all the settings to the local installation folder. The settings are persisted.
