2 Beta Program What does Beta mean? Early visibility to R9 Customer provides timely feedback on new features and usability Customer gets quick turnaround on beta releases to incorporate beta feedback Customer may encounter some defects, usability, and performance issues Development team will be on site for initial beta sites 2

3 Beta Program - Support Process: R9 Software is put on sites who own a DTS initially to help test Interfaces and features Beta support goes through normal process of Heat ticket generation A dedicated R9 Service team responds to the ticket Development is contacted on new feature software issues Builds are turned around quickly 3

4 Beta Program - Timing Timing Beta software will be available in Q Phases 1. Prior to Scheduling - contact site 2. Pre-upgrade tasks 3. During Upgrade: Pre-Downtime Tasks >> Upgrade team, Development, local Field Service Engineers 4. During Upgrade: Downtime Tasks 5. Post Upgrade Tasks >> Field Support and Upgrade team 4

9 Hardware Requirements PACS Server hardware Minimum G4 or G5 servers Required because the PACS server is hosting additional applications All Servers operating system Windows 2000 Server is not supported under R9 9

10 Additional Considerations General: Microsoft Excel 2010 for Management Reports, Peer Review, and Mammography transition is a required upgrade Optional upgrade to Microsoft Word 2010 Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel 2010 costs for CS stations is a site requirement Scheduler will be upgraded to Sybase 11 Scheduler: Data translation from SQL Server to Sybase Mammography: Migration of Mammography data to new database tables Report Manager moved to PACS server HL7 Interfaces (Billing & Reports) Communicator can continue to be used in: Web Ambassador and Web Transcription Still retains a copy of online exams as an extra backup repository 10
