The CS Series expands the set of application features previously supported on customer-supplied hardware. Advantages of customer-supplied hardware Sites request customer-supplied client stations for several reasons: Cost reduction by installing DR Systems RIS client software on existing stations. When replacing a PACS from another vendor, ability to run DR Systems PACS client software on the existing hardware of the replaced PACS system. Preferred hardware platforms and vendors mandated by the facility s IT department. The IT department also wants to administer the stations. Ability to run additional programs on a workstation. The standard RIS/PACS workstations supplied by DR Systems have access restrictions to ensure data security, because of they connect directly to the PACS Central Server. In CS Series products, you can access other programs including File Explorer and the Command Prompt. Customer responsibilities The system administrator at your site is responsible for: Software installation. First-line software support for your users. Hardware support.
