1 Find My Mac DESCRITION: If you misplace your Mac, the Find My Mac service will let you use a mobile device or icloud.com to find a Mac and protect your data. Simply enable the option under icloud in System Preferences to use this functionality. Find My Mac will help you locate your missing computer on a map. You can then choose to display a message or play a sound, remotely lock your device, or erase your data on it. Please note that Find My Mac must be enabled in the icloud settings on your Mac for you to locate it with this application FEATURES: Locate your Mac on a map Display a message on the screen Play a sound for two minutes at full volume (even if your device is set to silent Remotely lock your device Remotely wipe your device to erase your personal data REQUIREMENTS: - OS X Lion v is required for icloud users - icloud account (available free with OS X Lion) - eligible ios device to use functionality from a mobile device - Internet connection is required. Your can write a message to be displayed on your screen (such as I lost my laptop, call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx ) or play a loud sound 5. Remote lock will require a four-digit pin to be entered before your device can be used. Under Devices on your device, you should see your mac listed: 3.
