1 Data Pipe Bomb Windows System Image (AOMEI) WINDOWS SYSTEM IMAGE This document provides instructions to create a system backup of your Windows device using the AOMEI Backupper utility. The AOMEI Backupper utility is a 3 rd party application Developed by AOMEI Technology (no affialiation to DataPipeBomb), which may be used to backup data to your PipeBomb storage accounts. The utility features four types of backups, including System Backup, Disk Bakup, Partition Backup and File Backup. This document covers the System Backup option. A system image is a compressed copy of a device (such as laptop or PC) operating system, software applications, user settings and user data files. A system image, acompanied by a recovery image, is generally used to restore a computer or PC s operating system, software applications, user settings and user data files after a hard drive crash, SSD failure, unrecoverable filesystem corruption or another catastrophic event. Because all of the data is contained within the system image is compressed, one cannot directly access data files on the image. The image would need to be restored on to the device before such files can be accessed. Note however, a user may decide to backup data uncompressed, where files are directly accessable (see FAQs Backup Windows 10 ). This method does require more storage space and also device & PipeBomb resources during the file transfers, as compaired to the System Image. Create a System Backup (with AOMEI) Note: You must have a valid PipeBomb user account & storage access enabled to complete these operations. See figure 1, Home, Share1 & Share2 access as an example. 2 Open a web browser and go to On the resulting web page, scroll down and click on the blue button Download Freeware. Next, scroll down and click on Local Download and the dropdown Local 1 link. You should see the file BackupperFull.exe file being downloaded. When the download is complete, go to your Download folder and double-click on the BackupperFull.exe to install the AOMI backup utility to your device (see figure 2). 3 Click the Install Now button (see figure 4). (figure 4) Once the installation completes, click on the Enjoy Now button (see figure 5). (figure 5)

4 Click on the Backup icon to the left of the window (see figure 6). (figure 6) Click on the System Backup cell near the bottom of the window (see figure 7). (figure 7) (figure 7)

5 Name your file backup in the Taks Name field (see figure 8). Click on the Add Folder icon to select the folders you would like to back up to your PipeBomb account. (figure 8) Select the Share/NAS icon to the left of the window (see figure 9). (figure 9)

6 In the Share/NAS Management window, click on the Add share or NAS device button (see figure 10). (figure 10) Enter your PipeBomb user name and path \\PipeBomb\homes (see figure 11). Uncheck the Anonymous box, as connecting to PipeBomb storage requires account credentials. Enter your user name and password, then click on the OK button. (figure 11)

7 Confirm PipeBomb appears directly under the Share or NAS device text & click OK (see figure 12). (figure 12) Verify the task name and destination are correct, then click on Start Backup >> (see figure 13). (figure 13)

8 You should see Backup is initializing (see figure 14). (figure 14) When done, you should see The operation has been completed successfully (see fugure 15). You may click on the link Backup to: \\PipeBomb\homes\PipeBomb to confirm your backup success. (figure 15)
