1 Newcomers & Leavers EMIS WEB DXS How-to-Guides A guide to what steps you need to take to register new users and delete any leavers DXS How-To-Guides 1
2 How-to-guides: Newcomers & Leavers Introduction It is important that you follow the step-by-step guide according to your clinical system in order to register and delete users from the DXS Point of Care system; this is to ensure that they see the correct CCG Documents. NB: Without following these steps, they may not see the correct CCG Documents. DXS How-To-Guides 2
3 EMIS Web Newcomers 1. Follow your usual local practice procedures for adding the new user to the EMIS Web system You will need to navigate into EMAS manager to change user settings 2. Click the EMIS menu button to bring up the menu drop down 3. Navigate through to EMAS Manager Then, click on EMAS Manager First, click System Tools to bring up the second drop-down menu
4 4. On the left-hand side of your screen, there will be a menu bar as below you will need to select Partner API Click Partner API 5. This will populate a larger menu, with a list of available APIs to activate or deactivate Click DXS Point of Care in order to highlight the partner product DXS How-To-Guides 1
5 6. On the toolbar at the top of the window, check that DXS is activated. If it is not, press Activate Application If DXS is activated, it should look like this If DXS isn t activated, it should look like this You will now need to provide access to the DXS Point of Care API for each individual delegate at the practice who requires use of the product 7. Click Edit Users on this toolbar at the top of the window 8. This will display a dialogue box with a list of delegate names at your practice. Tick the box next to the delegate you wish to have access to the DXS Point of Care system Tick this box DXS How-To-Guides 2
6 9. After ticking this box, another prompt box will appear to enter passwords for this access. Enter Password1 in both boxes and then click OK to save the changes Type: Password1 Type: Password1 10. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for all required delegates You will now need to provide access to the DXS Point of Care product for each individual delegate at the practice who requires use of the product 11. Ensure that DXS Point of Care is still highlighted as described in step Click Login Access on this toolbar at the top of the window 13. This will display another dialogue box with a list of delegate names at your practice. Tick both the Auto Login and Allow Login boxes; this will allow them to get access and register them for auto-login of DXS Tick these boxes DXS How-To-Guides 3

Please then send a request to: support-uk@dxs-systems.com, detailing the names of any new users, your practice name and NAC/ODS code and CCG name NB: This is an essential step to ensuring that you can see the correct CCG documents. Without doing so, you may not see any CCG documents. After you have received confirmation that the user has been registered with the correct content, they can begin using the product, however, they will need to activate the product on their workstation 15. Insert SMART card and log into EMIS Web 16. You may see a Windows Firewall prompt. If this appears, please press Allow access 17. The EMIS Web software will appear with a prompt. This is asking you to enter an EMIS Web username and password in order to Activate New Partner Product please use the following credentials; Username: Password: DXS-master-login Password1 The login credentials that you use can be anyone s i.e. each user of EMIS Web can use their own username and password to log back into EMIS Web and activate DXS on their workstation. NB: you may not have been assigned a master login if you have not and wish for us to set you one up please call our support number on option 1 NB: this prompt will ONLY appear ONCE. If you do not see this prompt, the activation has already been successful and does not need to be repeated. DXS How-To-Guides 4
8 EMIS Web Leavers You will need to navigate back into EMAS manager to change user settings 1. Click the EMIS menu button to bring up the menu drop down 2. Navigate through to EMAS Manager Then, click on EMAS Manager First, click System Tools to bring up the second drop-down menu DXS How-To-Guides 5

Repeat this for all required delegates You will now need to remove access to the DXS Point of Care product for each individual delegate at the practice who is leaving 8. Ensure that DXS Point of Care is still highlighted as described in step 3 9. Click Login Access on this toolbar at the top of the window DXS How-To-Guides 7
11 10. This will display another dialogue box with a list of delegate names at your practice. Untick both the Auto Login and Allow Login boxes Untick these boxes 1. Please then send a request to: support-uk@dxs-systems.com, detailing the names of any users that are leaving, your practice name and NAC/ODS code and CCG name DXS Support Problems?
