5 The Advanced DHCP server screen lists IP address reservations that have been established. Click on the first Client MAC address listed The Edit MAC address screen will appear. Type in the MAC address for the computer that you are using Click on OK Click on the first IP Address listed. The Edit IP Address screen will appear. 8 3 E-SEEK Model 250 Card Reader Driver Installation The intertrax suite DVD contains the driver for the E-SEEK reader. The driver is located in Support Files Drivers ESEEK. Click on CDM20814_Setup.exe and the file will be installed. Plug in the ESEEK. When the installation in complete and the ESEEK is functional the Driver Software Installation screen will appear. 8 Peripheral Setup Guide Rev. 4 (11-12)

9 4 OMNIKEY The intertrax suite DVD contains the driver for the OMNIKEY reader. It is located in the Support Files folder. The driver will be installed in the Programs File or you may choose to manually install the driver which will allow you to choose the location where the driver will reside. 12 Logitech Web Camera 5 Image Capture Recommended Setup 1) Install the camera drivers on the target machine. The Logitech install wizard will list Typical Installation and Custom Installation radio buttons. Choose Custom Installation. Under custom install select Logitech Quick Cam Drivers. Accept the default destination location. Click next. Accept the terms and install the driver. 2) Plug the webcam into the PC and allow the PC to install the driver. Select Capture Source in resourcemgr 1) Attach the preferred camera to the PC. 2) Open the application. Note: the application may prompt that it detected an image capture device and asking do you want to connect to it? Select Yes and follow the on screen prompts. 3) Open a personnel record and click the camera button under the Photo box or Double-Click if the button is not present. The camera will either take a picture (Canon models), or display a live motion capture screen (Logitech webcam). 4) To change the selected camera or reset the connection, right-click the Photo box and select Capture Source. Select the appropriate camera from the list. 5) Webcams require DirectShow. A webcam may display in the list as both WIA and DirectShow. 17 Options Tab The Options and Advanced Options must be setup according to the type of printer stock that will be used. 18 7 Symbol USB Scanner Setup To configure the device, scan the three barcodes below. --Charging the Battery-- To charge the battery, place the digital scanner in the cradle, ensuring that the metal contacts on the bottom of the digital scanner touch the contacts on the cradle. The battery begins charging. A complete charge can take up to four hours, depending on the remaining charge in the battery. Charging LED The flashing green LED indicates charging activity. If the digital scanner is charging in fast mode (external power supply is present), the green LED blinks quickly (on for 0.25 seconds, off for 0.75 seconds). If the digital scanner is charging in slow mode (host-powered mode), the LED blinks slowly (on for 0.5 seconds, off for 1.5 seconds). Charging Problem LED A solid or flashing red LED during charging indicates a charging problem. Remove device from cradle, then place back into cradle. If the device continues to flash red, see the table below to determine the cause. LED Status Indications Standard Use Off Green No power is applied to the digital scanner, or the digital scanner is on and ready to scan. The digital scanner successfully decoded a bar code. Red A data transmission error or digital scanner malfunction occurred. Device is out of range. Charging Use Green Slow Flash Green Fast Flash Red flash (flashing in the cradle) Red flash (flashing after a scan) Red and green flash The digital scanner is in the cradle and is charging in slow mode (occurs when the host cable powers the cradle). The digital scanner is in the cradle and is charging in rapid mode (occurs when an external power supply powers the cradle). Disconnect power and USB cord. Reconnect the USB to a computer that is turned on. After charging starts, reconnect the main power cord. Unplug USB. Rescan the pairing barcode on the cradle. Temperature fault. Move the cradle to a location where the temperature is 0o - 40o C; optimal charging temperature is 5o - 35o C. 18 Peripheral Setup Guide Rev. 4 (11-12)

19 --Pairing-- Pairing is the process by which a scanner communicates with a cradle. The cradle includes a pairing bar code. The pairing bar code that connects the scanner to a cradle is unique to each cradle. Scanners cannot exchange cradles without resetting, and reconfiguring the scanner. --FAQ-- Q. What steps should I take to use the scanner and cradle (together) on different machines? A. Plug in the USB cable and allow the computer to find the device; plug n play. B. Remove the scanner from the cradle and scan the cradle pairing barcode. C. Place the scanner in the cradle. Q. How do I reconfigure the scanner? A. Plug the USB cable into a computer that is turned on. B. Scan the Set All Defaults barcode. Wait for three trills (long, short, short) C. Scan the IBM Handheld USB barcode. Wait for three trills (long, short, short) D. Scan the Symbol code ID character barcode. Wait for one long trill. Q. When the scanners battery dies does it need to be re-configured? A. No, the scanner settings are saved even if the device batteries die. Q. When I scan a patient tag the scanner flashes red and the new patient form is not displayed. A.
