When you first start to dictate it may take Dragon Naturally Speaking a couple of seconds before you see any text on the screen. How do I add punctuation? You must tell the computer where to add punctuation marks. When you are dictating. It is great not having to use the computer keyboard [comma] to enter text into my word processor[period] How to I start a new paragraph? You can start a new paragraph by saying the command New paragraph This has the effect of pressing the Return key two times. How to I start a new line? It is important to understand that in order to get the most out of Dragon NaturallySpeaking it is important that you train it correctly when the program makes mistakes. When you train Dragon NaturallySpeaking it will then remember how you pronounce a word so that when you use it again it will display it correctly on the screen. You meant to say: I really love to go fishing in the summer. It types: I really love to go swishing in the summer. When a mistake appears, say Correct that. This will open the Correction dialog box. The Correction dialog box will display the last words that Dragon NaturallySpeaking typed into the document.

Page 4 You can choose the correct text in one of two ways Say Choose 2 and then the number of the correct alternative Click on the correct alternative with the mouse, and then click OK How do I Select text?
