3 About this manual This manual mainly describes the use and operation method of Fingerprint attendance machine. All functions are based on the actual product, because the product unceasing renewal, the company cannot promise the actual product is consistent with the data, but also cannot afford because of the technical parameters and the data does not match any dispute caused by, any changes without prior notice. Usage Guidelines 1.1 the recommended procedure in the first using step1: Installing the device and Power supply to the device. step2: User registration, fingerprint, ID card registration, set password,assign permissions. The assigning authority. step3: User authentication, fingerprint, password, confirm the registration ID is available. step4: Insert the u-disk, And Enter the main menu Shift, download the shift, setting table in the computer, Set shifts and scheduling of staff. step5: Insert the u-disk, Enter the main menu Shift, Upload Attendance setting table. step6: Check the device time, after confirmation you can start attendance. step7: At the end of the month, insert the u-disk, and enter the main menu Report and download the report.

4 1.2 Button description ESC MENU Close a submenu and return to the previous menu or submenu. The main menu button, used to enter the main menu, press it can enter the main menu interface. Move the cursor back. 1.3 Initial interface and main menu The initial machine interface and main menu, as shown in fig.: Attendance status: Close to the front of the device, Scanning status is displayed on the screen, after identifying the employee information will be displayed. 6 ID card identification 1. If have been attendance, and time up not yet, attendance again will the voice prompt verify thank you! 2. If the employee does not recording, when use the ID card sign in, the screen will display Try again. Connect with administrator!

7 2. Department set Operation steps: 1. In the main menu, select "Dept." then press OK button or press 1 button; you can enter the Department set interface. 2. In the Department set interface, select the blank column can name the department. 3. If edit it complete, press OK button to retain the name of department temporarily, and you can rescore number of departments name. 4. When the new employee register, in the department selection can select the department for the employee. PS: A total of editing 16(edit department name can only enter 8 characters, including Chinese, English letters, numbers, spaces) Choose one of the column for editing

8 3. Shift setting In the main menu, select the shift then press OK button or press 2 button can enter the shift setting (normal shift can complete the settings in the machine, for complex shift; recommend to edit in the computer. Download the attendance table settings and uploaded to the machine, to facilitate the rapid completion of the complex shift.) Shift Rule Download Upload You can set 24 kinds of scheduling for the attendance machine. For the attendance machine set up time and accepted leave early from work time accepted late for work. Download the recorded attendance machine scheduling information to U disk. Will have to edit a good scheduling information, from the U disk to the attendance machine. 3.1 Shift setting It can be set for the attendance machine scheduling information, attendance and report summary for attendance machine. In shift setting, select the shift then press OK button or press 1 button can enter the shift setting, a total of 24 scheduling can be set, the default employee scheduling is shift 1, if you want to set other scheduling of staff in attendance, set complete on the attendance table and uploaded to the attendance machine.

9 Note: ordinary scheduling can be set up in the machine, for complex scheduling, such as: implementation scheduling across the day, recommend good editor on the computer, and then download the attendance to set table and uploaded to the machine, to facilitate rapid complex scheduling. 3.2 Attendance rules In shift setting, select the Rule then press OK button or press 2 button can enter the attendance rules setting, here can set the accepted late and accepted leave early (Maximum of 60 minutes). Accepted time late: Working no later than this time is not late,default 0 minutes. Accepted time early: Before work does not exceed this time not leave early, default 0 minutes. For instance: setting accepted time late of five minutes, Working hours are 1:30,1:35 minutes before not mind being late. Note: 1. Attendance for the period did not form a complete record of absenteeism one day (Except overtime hours). 2. Incomplete attendance period (Forget attendance, Absenteeism) nothing will be counted.

10 3.3 Download shift Insert the U-disk to the device, in shift settings select Download then press OK button or press 3 button can download the Attendance set table. The table can be viewed and edited on a computer. Insert USB disk after download Note: This operation requires operation to insert U disk, if not insert U disk, the screen will display Download fail operation error when download data. 3.4 Upload shift Edited the Attendance set table complete and then use the U-disk uploads the table. Insert USB disk after upload Note: This operation requires operation to insert U disk, if not insert U disk, the screen will display Download fail operation error when upload data. Attendance setting table: A total of 24 shifts, a shift can be set to three period attendances, the terminal supports multiple day attendance, n scheduling employees on shift table number setting.

13 4. User Management In main menu, select the User then press OK button or press 3 button can enter the user management interface. The user data can be backed up, you can upload to another the same series of attendance machine. New Modify Download Upload For the attendance machine input new staff attendance information, convenient work attendance. Can modify the attendance machine has entry staff attendance information. Download the information from attendance machine of the employees' attendance to U disk. Will U disk of the employee's attendance information uploaded to the machine. 4.1 User Registration New employee need to input the work number and name, and record the new employee s fingerprints or ID card and password for attendance. (The user name can only enter 4 characters, including letters, numbers, Chinese, English spaces)

14 4.1.1 Fingerprint registration This can register the information of fingerprint for employees. Operation steps: 1. In user interface, select New then press OK or press 1, next select Finger then press OK or press 1 can start the fingerprint registration; 2. the first enter the work number and name, the default work number is 1; 3. Place the finger on the green scan area to scan the fingerprint, it need to scan 3 time to complete the registration; 4. If need to backed up the second fingerprint press OK, if complete the registration press ESC ;

15 Introduction to Fingerprint Recognition technology: Enroll fingerprint by pressing index finger, middle finger or ring finger. 1. Proper press: Make finger center pressed on the sensor window 2. Improper press: Upright Slant Too lean Too downward Password registration The password can be registered for employees. Operation steps: 1. In user interface, select New then press OK or press 2, next select Password then press OK or press 3 can start the ID card registration; 2. the first enter the work number and name, the default work number is 1; 3. Input the password 2 times can complete the password registration; 4. If need for password registered for second employee, press OK, if complete press ESC ;

16 4.1.3 ID card registration The ID card can be registered for employees. Operation steps: 1. In user interface, select New then press OK or press 3, next select Password then press OK or press 3 can start the ID card registration; 2. the first enter the work number and name, the default work number is 1; 3. Place the ID card on the scan area to scan the ID card, complete the scanning will display the ID card number; 4. To sure the number, if it correct press OK, if it wrong press ESC ; 4.2 Modify user information Users can change the information has been entered. Including work number, name, password, department

17 and user permissions. Can re-enter or delete users. Method of entry: In user management select Modify then press OK or press 2 can enter the modify user interface. 4.3 Download Data Download data to U disk backup, to prevent data loss, to facilitate data upload. PS: This operation requires operation to insert U disk, if not insert U disk, the screen will display Download fail operation error when download data. Insert U disk after download 4.4 Upload Data U-disk can be uploaded to the employee information on more than one attendance. 18 5. Download Report The employee's attendance record is made into a tabular form, summary and recorded, and then this form is downloaded to a computer for review. Operation steps: 1. Insert the U-disk. 2. In the main menu select Report then press OK or press Select the start and end time. 4. Prompt "working" downloads reports to the U disk, prompt "Downloading success" and then unplugs the U disk. 5. Generate summary table, Check the table in the computer. Note: For multiple attendances, Download a report on multiple machines, attendance reports automatically merged. 20 6. Advanced Settings Settings for attendance machine, for example: company name, machine setting, time setting, record rule, Network setting. Step of enter advanced setting: in main menu interface select Setting then press OK or press 5 can enter the advanced settings. Company Device Time Rec. Rule Network Set the name of the company for attendance machine. More advanced Settings for attendance machine, such as language Settings, and the total number of managers and so on. Set the current local time for the attendance machine, for the attendance. Setting and set attendance system for attendance machine. Set of online communication environment for attendance machine. 6.1 Company Name Set the company name and stored in attendance machine. Method of enter the company name: in setting interface select Company then press OK or press 1 can enter the company name editing. If edit complete press OK to save the company name

21 Note: company name can only enter 8 characters, including letters, numbers, Chinese, English and spaces. 6.2 Device Settings It can set up multiple projects, such as language, voice prompt, set the volume Settings, etc. Step to enter the machine Settings menu: in advanced Settings menu, select Device then press OK or press 5 can enter device setting. All of the attendance record in the attendance machine information deleted. Clear all employee data. Delete all the information and restore the default Settings. Upgrade firmware Device firmware program can use this option to use the U dish in the upgrade file to upgrade. Note: Restore factory settings does not clear the user records and attendance records, Delete all data will clear all data and restore the factory settings, please use caution! 6.3 Time Setting You can reset the time for attendance machine, in line with local time, facilitate attendance. Method of enter the time setting: in advanced setting menu, select Time then press OK or press 3 can enter time setting. Press from keypad can adjust the time; Press "OK" to save the current date and time settings. 6.4 Record Setting Method of enter record setting: in advanced setting menu, select Rec. Rule then press OK or press 4 can enter record setting interface. It can set attendance records warnings and repeated confirmation time. 6.5 Connection Information To set up a communication for attendance machine. Method of enter connection information: in Setting menu select Network press OK or press 5 enter the connections setting.( settings machine number, IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Port

23 number, Connection password, Server IP address, Server Port, settings whether to send a message). Device No. Set the current attendance machine number. Baud rate Communication with the computer communications speed, high-speed communications speed, suggest to use , 57600, RS232 communication baud rate. Low speed communication stability, suggest to use 9600, 38400, RS485 communication baud rate. Device IP The IP address of the set up communication. Subnet mask The default subnet mask for , can be set according to need. Default gateway The default gateway address for , can be set according to need. Device port Communication time shown in the port, the default is Server IP The default server address as " ", can be set according to need. Server port Link the server of a port number is 7005, the default is Real time communicating Select "Yes", will begin to exchange data communication.

24 7. Query Information Can view the information, such as: attendance record check, the input of employee information, device information. Enter the information query steps: in the main menu select Inquiry then press OK or press 6 can enter information query. User Log Reg. Info Dev. Info Can check the employee attendance information sometime Can check attendance information of attendance records. Can check attendance records from all sorts of equipment information, etc. 7.1 Record View Input the ID card number, select the start and end time, press OK to view the sign up time of the employee s fingerprint, ID or password registration time.

25 7.2 Registration Information It can check user registration, management registration, attendance log, facial registration, Fingerprint registration, ID registration, password registration and other information. 7.3 Device Information Show manufacturer production date, firmware version and other information.

This device supports T9 Chinese, T9 English input. There are a number of letters in the Numeric keypad, for instance num2 keypad has A B C characteristic. T9 English input method: Enter the letter key once or several times where you can select the letters you want to enter.
