2 2 PUBLISHONE SETUP When using the Microsoft Word editor make sure to complete the PublishOne setup. The setup will assure all PublishOne functionalities in Word to work properly and give you the best editing experience. Requirements Microsoft Word 2010 or later (a license is not provided by PublishOne). Please note that Word for Mac is not compatible with PublishOne..Net Framework 4.5 Visual Studio 2010 Tools voor Office Runtime Automatic setup Your PublishOne key-user can provide you the link to the automatic setup. Manual setup In case there is no automatic installer available, you can perform a manual setup. The manual setup provides all steps to complete the setup exactly as when you would have used the automatic setup. 1. Microsoft Word 1. Open MS Word (2010 or later) 2. Go to file and click options 3. Go to trust centre and click trust centre settings 4. Go to trusted location make sure that allow Trusted Location on my network is enabled 5. Click add new location 6. Enter the url of your environment (example nl) and check Subfolders of this location are also trusted result.indd :51:04

3 3 7. Click ok Now you will be able to view the PublishOne ribbon in Word. 2. Web browser 1. Open Internet Explorer 2. Click tools (ALT+X) 3. Click Internet Options 4. Go to the security tab and click sites 5. Enter the url of your environment (example result.indd :51:04

4 4 6. Click ok Support I have a Mac First of all, when you have a Mac book you are able to use all functionalities in the online environment, like updating metadata. You can edit the document using the working offline functionality: 1. Click on select 2. Select one or more documents 3. Click on work offline and choose download Now the Word documents will download. Open them on your computer and you are able to edit the documents. Now you can start editing your content. Done? 5 5 Limitation while working offline: You cannot insert assets You cannot insert links to other documents within PublishOne You cannot use automatic linking The above functionalities require a live connection with the environment and are therefore not available when working offline. Other Word version (like Word for Mac and Wordpad) are not supported by and compatible with PublishOne. It is important to realize that the PublishOne ribbon will only show in documents opened from PublishOne or downloaded from PublishOne When I press the edit button in PublishOne, the Word editor doesn t open Solution: Download a Microsoft-service pack. 1. Check whether your computer has the 32- or 64-bit version of Microsoft Word a. Open Microsoft Word b. Click on the file tab c.
