1 This document will help a user learn how to create, update, and maintain voice profiles. Understanding the voice profile is an important part in understanding how the ASR Transcription and interaction works. Getting Started What you ll need before you start: 1. All IVR system prompts and any base prompts (days, months, numbers, etc.) arranged in a folder. These prompts can be arranged in.wav,.vox, or.vap Format to start. 2 2. A folder with an excel file (.xlsx) with two columns. The first column should contain the name of each prompt in the Audio Files Folder and the second column should contain the actual prompt text that is played by the audio file. 4 The Process In order to use the Voice Profile Tool to create and train a profile, the audio files and prompt text need to be converted into formats that the Voice Profile Tool can recognize for training. The process of converting audio files to an acceptable format and converting the excel prompt text to individual.txt files can be handled through the product via the Audio Converted and Excel Prompts File Parser tools. The below sections detail the use of each tool, followed by the process for creation of a Voice Profile, adding vocabulary, and training the ASR Engine on the audio and textual data for use with the phone portion of the application. Converting all the audio files into wav files: 1. Click on Tools menu on ClinTest Interface. 2. Select Audio Converter 3. Specify Input Folder where the application will look for all valid.vox,.wav,.vap files. 10 Training using voice profile manager: 1. Click on Tools menu on ClinTest interface. 2. Select the Voice Profile Manager. 3. Select the existing Voice Profile from Design Pane or select New Profile 4. Select a directory that contains the text files that will be loaded into the application. iii.

12 7. Select any action from Drop Down List (Add Words from Text Files, Add single Word, Manage Existing Word). All the options are described in detail below: a. Add Words from Text File i. Select Add Words from Text Files ii. Select a directory that contains the text files that will be loaded into the application. iii. Select the checkbox next to the word which is needed to be added to the dictionary. To select all the words, click Check All. 15 9. Click on Train Summary Once training is completed, the Voice Profile will be ready to use. The Voice Profile location will default to the Voice Profile Folder in the Sample Project. If a user opens a project within the ClinTest Automation Suite 1.0 application, and then creates a Voice Profile, the profile will be saved in the Voice Profile folder of the open project.
