We have gone to extraordinary lengths to maximise the quality of digital music streams. Uniti is running on a completely new Naim designed and built streaming platform. The range is the result of significant investment in time and people within our audio laboratories every component and material was put under the microscope, questioned, refined or replaced with new custom parts at every stage. Uniti s unique and very powerful 40-bit SHARC DSP is so phenomenally accurate that it performs a staggering 2.7 billion calculations per second, giving it enough power to resolve the most complex music signals with ease. Extreme care has been taken by our highly trained engineers to protect sensitive components in the audio signal path from digital circuitry isolated circuit boards for both analogue and digital signals, optical isolators to transfer information between the two sides of the products and careful testing and analysis by our audio experts to catch any stray interference. Driving this digital innovation is a Class A/B integrated amplifier based on the design of one of our most iconic and best-loved integrated amps the NAIT. This iconic analogue technology is the beating heart within each Uniti system. Running twice as fast as its predecessor; it is an amplifier that has all the distilled audio engineering know-how behind it. A large toroidal transformer sits at the centre of each Uniti system providing vital fuel, allowing the audio electronics to shine by converting a noisy mains supply into a high-calibre power source. Each system has been designed and painstakingly hand-built in Salisbury with completely new build techniques developed by our engineers, Uniti dedicated technicians and individual cells to create each player from the ground up. As well as preventing radio frequency interruption, the casework also houses built-in antennae for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to provide an aesthetic that echoes our classic amplifiers.

The powerful platform has also allowed the integration of Chromecast built-in, providing access to thousands of streaming services. State-of-the-Art Wi-Fi New Uniti players feature the very latest Wi-Fi, supporting both 2.4 and 5GHz, alongside far better internal buffer and memory. The aerials are integrated within the heatsink we ve also installed a back reflector to prevent any harmful radiation from entering the unit. Digitally Controlled Analogue Volume At the heart of all Uniti players is an audiophile volume control, adjusting levels in the analogue domain to a premium digital resolution. The design is taken from the NAC-N 272 and its smooth structure is inspired by our reference amplification system, Statement.

27 The Naim Audio Story Even the simplest idea can become the seed for something truly monumental Naim founder, Julian Vereker MBE ( ), was a successful racing car driver, self-taught engineer and entrepreneur with a deep passion for music. Spending his spare time listening to the greatest artists of the 1960s and 70s, as well as his own friends playing live, Julian found the performance of playback at home fell woefully short in almost every area that mattered. Not content with second best, he set about designing his own amplifiers and loudspeakers, completely unaware that he was laying the foundations for a range of iconic and award-winning hi-fi products that would reach well into the next century. Julian had no ideas of fame or fortune, he simply wanted to experience music replayed in the truest and purest possible form. These were our founding values in 1973 and they continue to fuel every aspect of our progress today. The technology we use to achieve our aims will always change and evolve with time, but our ultimate goal remains the same to bring our listeners a deeper and more intense experience of music Julian Vereker in his workshop
