15 Success stories : KLIP A web application that helps prevent excavation damage to underground cables and pipes by optimising the access and exchange of information on this topic. KLIP is founded on the IMKL 2.2 Data Model, which is an extension based on the INSPIRE data specifications on Utility Services. 18 Implementation challenges - Identify all partners - Limited ressources for such a work load - Harmonisation - Assure compliance of all partners - Sell the benefit - Harmonisation Federal Level Flanders Brussels Wallonia - Long term commitment of actors with different priorities. - Integration of Geo people in an ICT context. - Assure coherence with PSI directive (and the budgets at disposal to do so). - Lack of interest it s only mandated by EU but of no use for us... - Big amount of data to make compliant in a short period of time no one is willing to change their current data models for more INSPIRE-compliant models.
