1 Short manual Consultant Netviewer Summarily 7 steps are necessary to establish a netviewer session: 1. Start the consultant program. 2. login with your user account. 3. At start dialogue click on Start session. 4. Communicate the session number to your session partner. 5. The participant has to start his netviewer client. 6. The participant types in the session number. 7. After verification the session will be established. Start session 1. Start the Netviewer one2one participant program -> from Schunk start page or -> from page Choose your correspondent language and net version e.g.: If you are located on Schunk-Net click on Consultant/SchunkNet/EN. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer you may directly execute the file. Otherwise firstly you have to save a local copy of the file to your computer and execute it from there. Seite 1 von 5

2 2. In the consultant login dialogue you have to authenticate with your user name and password. 3. At start dialogue click on Start Session with SCHUNK profile. 4 At session start it will appear a Netviewer mini panel with a six-digit session number. Please communicate this session number to your partner. The participant now has to start the participant program and enter the session number. The Netviewer session can begin! Seite 2 von 5

3 Watch Modus As consultant you start in watch mode, i.e. you will see a blue-framed Netviewer window containing the content of the participant s screen. Here you can either use the pointer (without remote control) or the participant can hand over remote control to you. You then have access to the approved applications and you can control the participant s mouse cursor Seite 3 von 5

4 Show-Modus As consultant you may change to show mode anytime. i.e. you show your screen content to the participant. Therefore you have to click on button Show. Within the control panel at Show mode you may enable remote control and file transfer by drag & drop for the participant and change again the direction of view (SHOW WATCH), check the status of the screen transfer to the consultant. define which applications and screen elements are to be displayed to the participant recording the netviewer session by clicking on the correspondent button at section session. At session s end you will be asked for saving the recorded session. 5 File transfer: You may exchange files with the consultant by drag & drop. You have only to highlight the files at your Windows Explorer and pull them into the consultant s explorer. Your session partner will receive a query and will be able to deny, accept for unique transfer or accept for transfer without further queries. Notice: Pressing the F11 key immediately revokes remote control fort he consultant. Exit session To exit a session click on the control panel s Close button or close the session in the windows task bar. At session s end you will be asked for saving the recorded session.
