2 1. We are with Ace and have Ace discs that we install and update. Will that automatically be updated or will we still need to do that? For Eagle Hosting, we load Co-op catalog data, but not catalog images. 2. Can we back up our PCs as well as our Eagle information with Epicor hosting? Will it back up our QuickBooks files, Excel and Word files? Yes, we have a separate service to backup PCs and other servers. Please contact your Account Manager or LPS for more information. 3. If we have hosted server, is Eagle Anywhere an additional cost? No, Eagle Anywhere is not an additional cost per month, but you will need some LPS setup time. Eagle Anywhere currently does not work with POS peripherals. 4. Is inet run through the cloud? Yes, inet is cloud-based. 5. How is the delay between the workstation and the server centers? I am asking because our locations are mostly in Hawaii. This question depends on your internet service provider and the latency they have. Depending on your ISP and the route they take to our datacenter, you may have little latency or a lot of latency. Your LPS can do a test to see what your latency is. 6. Does the customer set the encryption keys for remote backup? No, Epicor as random encryption keys that we used for Secure Data Backup. 7. How are Eagle updates handled on the client side? You talked about how I can go to bed and the server updates, but what about the clients? Would Epicor manage e-connect and push out the updates? Yes, we use econnect to push out the updates overnight to your clients, as long as the clients are available and on. 8. How fast of an Internet pipe is really required to run a server on-line? The bandwidth requirements are below: Minimal bandwidth requirement is 384k upload and download Each EAGLE PC with compression enabled uses 16k of bandwidth Each report printer uses 9k of bandwidth Each RF device uses 4k of bandwidth The more important internet pipe feature is latency and we will need latency between 0-60ms, also called a ping.

3 9. Does Eagle hosting provide services to improve store site network setup, observe employee computer usage, and work with local internet providers if communications with the cloud die? The LPS may be able to help you on a time and materials basis, but this is not part of the standard Hosting setup. 10. Can Eagle POS still run offline using Eagle Hosting Services should the internet go down? Yes, Eagle Offline POS works with Eagle Hosting. 11. What happens if the internet is down during business hours? Is there still an offline feature available? Yes, Eagle Offline POS. Other Eagle functions will not be available. 12. How do you access Eagle Anywhere? Can you open Eagle on any device through Eagle Anywhere? Eagle Anywhere can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection, on any kind of device, mobile as well, using a remote desktop client. 13. Does remote backup hold monthly backups or just seven days? If it holds monthly, how many months can we go back? Secure Data Backup holds seven days of data and then writes over the first day. If you want to archive weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual data, you can use a USB flash drive on the newer SDBU back appliances to take a snapshot of your data. 14. How is the data encrypted? Would we need to configure VPNs or lease lines to your datacenter? Or does the traffic traverse over SSL? Data is encrypted by Eagle and in transport it is through Blowfish cipher. We use SSL to traverse to the datacenter. 15. Is the dedicated server a working terminal or is this a separate terminal, which acts like the old server in the store? If this question is about SDBU appliance, it is a separate server that does backup of your main Eagle server and then trickles the data to our datacenter for storage. For Eagle Hosting, you will not have any type of Eagle server in the store. In the store, you will either have Eagle client terminals or using remote desktop to access Eagle Anywhere. 16. What software do we have excess to if we go the Eagle cloud? Eagle Hosting includes Watchdog ISS, 2 factor authentications for remote connections and Kaspersky Anti-Virus for all Eagle clients connecting to the Hosted Eagle server. These can be taken off your configuration as you move to Eagle Hosting.

4 17. If I was interested in getting cloud or Eagle hosting, who do I need to contact or what steps do I need to follow to get all my files moved onto the cloud to get all paper work into the cloud? Contact your Epicor Account Manager to get the process started. 18. Does the Eagle ipad feature you just spoke about require a separate terminal license with Epicor? Yes, Eagle Anywhere requires an unused Eagle terminal license that is attached to a virtual client terminal at our datacenter. 19. For Eagle Anywhere, if someone left open eagle browser on the terminal I want to use from home will I be able to still sign on? Not if all Eagle terminal license are used up. 20. How many individuals can be set up with Eagle Anywhere accounts included with hosting service? All Eagle terminals, except POS terminals, can be set up as Eagle Anywhere. 21. And who do we contact to set up our Eagle Anywhere? Contact your LPS who will need to do a setup for Eagle Anywhere. 22. If I went to cloud based, how would upgrades be handled? Software update and patches will be automatically handed by our Eagle Hosting staff. They will contact you to schedule a time to perform the server software update and client update. 23. Do we need to review the data stored, length of time and report types? I know the mention was made the more data your need the more space available. This sounds like you would be billed for the amount of data you backup. When you order SDBU, we can determine how much storage you need and then you pay for only the storage you need. I.E. most of our customers have about 10-20GB so you would buy that tier of storage. If you store more, then we will bill you extra for that month.
