1 Central 1.4 Release Notes This document outlines the major features and improvements in Central 1.4, which includes changes in Central Server, Central Browser, Leapfrog Geothermal, Leapfrog Works, Leapfrog Geo and Leapfrog EDGE. More detailed information about each of the client applications can be found online at or by contacting your local Leapfrog support contacts. Software requirements and upgrade notes can be found at the end of this document.

3 Page 2 New Features in 1.4 Mesh Import from Central Leapfrog now has the capability to import meshes from Central projects. This means that it is possible to share up-to-date resources from one project to another improving how multiple users can contribute to a single project. Meshes can be imported to the Meshes folder in Leapfrog. Imported meshes can be output volumes, surfaces or user meshes from a project on the same Central instance. Fast reload functionality allows an up-to-date version of the mesh from the same branch to be easily imported. When a new version of the mesh is available, all projects with out-of-date meshes will display an out-of-date icon indicating that the mesh can be reloaded to get the latest data. Once meshes are imported into the project from Central, they can easily be incorporated into dynamic workflows in the project.

4 Page 3 Comparisons Within the Central Browser, new comparison workflows have been added that allow changes in the project to be better understood. Comparisons are initiated from the scene view on the objects that are being viewed. Once initiated, this will open a Comparison tab that will allow two dates to be selected and objects in both timesteps to be viewed. Comparison Tools Flicker For viewing changes, all objects have a flicker control, which provides the ability to flick forward and back between time steps to see changes. This can be done either on the individual object level or for all objects at once. Flickering allows even minor changes to be easily identified. Separate Controls Controls on each object such as transparency and slice mode make it possible to configure different ways of seeing changes in particular shapes.

5 Page 4 Meshes For meshes, the wireframe option is available for each half of the comparison allowing changes to be clearly seen. Filtering For points and drillholes, filtering options highlight the new data between the two dates in 3D. All new data between the times will appear larger than the rest.

6 Page 5 Annotations Annotations can be added to a comparison scene on one of the chosen timesteps. Annotations will appear on the publish event alongside normal annotations but when opened it will cause a second scene to be launched. Replies can be made in the comparison tab or scene tab. Comparison annotations are not able to be opened in modelling products at this stage. Supporting Data Selecting objects in scene in the Central Browser now displays supporting data. Supporting data provides addition information about blocks, drillholes, points and surfaces.

7 Page 6 Integration with Leapfrog EDGE Leapfrog EDGE can now connect and publish to Central. This means that it is possible for resource estimation specialists, using Leapfrog EDGE within organisations, to work on their own projects or use existing projects that have been created in Central. When opening a project from Central, some objects may be restricted and cannot be edited depending on the application and modules available. Integration with Leapfrog Works Leapfrog Works can now connect and publish to Central. This means that for Civil and Environmental customers it is now possible to work alongside your colleagues using Central.

8 Page 7 Publish Designs Leapfrog Central now supports the publishing of design files from Leapfrog Works. Engineering designs can be published with multiple layers consisting of surfaces, points and lines. All colours are preserved when published to Central. Designs are able to be viewed in the Central Browser alongside the rest of the project's data. Redundancy-Free Storage and Transfer Central now supports redundancy-free storage and transfer of objects. This means that only unique objects are stored and published to the Central Server. Duplicates are detected during publishing by using an object fingerprint. When the Central Server upgrades from 1.3 to 1.4, duplicate objects will be removed from the server. This means that less data needs to be transferred to and stored on the Central Server. Redundancy-free storage does not apply to Leapfrog projects at this stage. Rename Project Central projects can now be renamed via the admin portal. This action can be completed on the projects page.

9 Page 8 Improved Local Project Handling When projects are downloaded in a Leapfrog modelling product, they now appear as tiles rather than in the tree. This provides more clarity as to which revision is being edited. Project Organisation Projects are now able to be grouped based on the location field entered in the admin portal. All projects with the same location will appear grouped in Leapfrog and the Central Browser.
