1 Leapfrog Central 1.2 Technical release notes This document outlines the major features and improvements in Leapfrog Central 1.2 which include some changes in Leapfrog Geo and Leapfrog Browser. 3 Page 3 New Features Branch Locking Branch locking provides the ability to lock the head of a branch when making an update to a project. While the branch is locked, other users are not be able to publish changes to the branch. Other users will still be able to work on their own versions of the project but will need to publish to another branch if they wish to submit their revision or wait until the lock becomes free. Branch locks are removed when a new revision is published, when its duration expires or when the branch is manually unlocked by an administrator or by the user who locked it Events Log With the introduction of Leapfrog Central, 3D models no longer reflect a single point in time. They are tracked and continually evolve over the life of a project. The new events log captures all of the actions that have taken place in the project and gives clarity to everyone involved in the modelling process. Events are logged in the Leapfrog Central database for admin and project-related changes and displayed in new tabs in both the Leapfrog Browser and the Admin Portal.

4 Page 4 Data Transfer Improvements Data transfer is an important part of Leapfrog Central and the large size of Leapfrog Geo projects presents a major challenge when working in remote locations. To help solve this problem, we have implemented three new features that provide major performance improvements to data transfer and project preparation.

5 Page 5 Improved Compression Methods Leapfrog Central V1.2 includes a new multi-core compression tool to optimise project compression, taking less time to prepare a project for transmission and compressing the data more than was previously achievable. Version 1.2 also includes a new option for sending unprocessed projects, which can drastically reduce project sizes. This method of compression works by leveraging the dynamic nature of Leapfrog projects and the implicit modelling engine to remove and recalculate data after it is transferred. Resumable Upload When operating remotely over a poor-quality internet connection, the ability to continue uploading or downloading when a connection is lost is critical. Leapfrog Central v1.2 now supports resumable upload and download for all data transmissions, including Leapfrog Geo projects. Should connectivity be lost during an upload or download, users will simply be able to continue once connectivity is re-established. Annotations Linked to Leapfrog Geo Annotations can now be opened in Leapfrog Geo, enhancing interactions between geologists, managers and other stakeholders. Annotations that were created by users in the Leapfrog Browser can be opened on live data in Leapfrog Geo. When the the scene is loaded, the shapes are first validated to see if changes have occurred since the annotation was made. The user can then open the scene and action the required changes before publishing a new revision of the model.

6 Page 6 Project Permissions When managing several Leapfrog Central projects, individual permissions for controlling access to projects is often important. Version 1.2 supports the ability for admin users to assign access permission to each Leapfrog Central project. When a user does not have project permission granted, they are not able to access the project in Leapfrog Geo or the Leapfrog Browser. Permissions can be applied either on a user-by-user or project basis. System Requirements Version Version 1.2 Product Iteration 3 Summary Version 1.2 adds a number of features aimed at reducing file size and transfer times. In addition to this we have added annotations in Leapfrog Geo and project permissions. A number of behind the scenes features have also been added for the future deployment of Central in the cloud..
