4 2. Overview CFALl2836AO-088 is a full color OLED display module with 128(RGB) x36 dot matrix. The characteristics of this display module are high brightness, self-emission, high contrast ratio, slim/thin outline, wide viewing angle, wide temperature range, and low power consumption. Module Interface PIN No. PIN Name Description 1, 7, 27, 33 VSS Ground 2, 32 VCC-C Column Driver Power 3, 31 PRE Column Driver Pre-Charge Power. 4, 30 VCC-R This pin is the power output pin of inter row power regulator. A 4.7uF capacitor is 4, 30 VCC-R recommended to connect between VCC Rand GND. If internal row power regulator is disabled, it must be connected to the external high voltage source. 5, 28 VDD Interface Power & Analog Power. 6 PSEL This pin enable/disable internal logic power regulator. When this pin is tied with VDD pin, it is the internal logic power regulator enabled. 8, 23 VDDIO Interface logic level. 9 RSTB Reset (Active Low) 10 WRB Write (Active Low) 11 RDB Read (Active Low) 12 CSB Chip Select (Active Low) 13 AO Address (L: command, H: parameter) 14~21 DO~D7 When serial interface mode is selected, D 1 will be the serial data input (SDIN), DO will be the serial clock input (SCLK), and D2-D7 should be tied VDD or VSS or floating. 22 PS H: Parallel L: Serial 24 IREF(NC) No Connection No Connection 25 OSC1(NC) No Connection 26 OSC2(NC) No Connection 29 VDDL Internal Logical Power. Recommended Software Initialization In order to ensure the reliability and stability of the module, the module must be initialized using the following code, malfunctioning of the module may occur and the reliability of the module may deteriorate if the module is used beyond the initialize code. You can download the Demonstration Code written for Seeeduino v4.2 set to 3.3v (Important!). This code uses the 4-wire SPI mode of the display; actually, only 3 wires since MISO is unused in this example. Page 20
